Suisham knows exactly what not to say
D.C. Sports Bog - Shaun Suisham is glad the Redskins cut him
In a league where most guys run their mouths to much and burn bridges, Suisham shows a lot of restraint and maturity when confronted with a very tempting opportunity for payback. I wish him lots of luck Sunday. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
F Suisham. Bailed on a promise. I think I might just sue him

Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
That would be like getting fired from Wal-Mart on Monday, and getting hired to be Donald Trump's assistant on Tuesday. Lucky SOB.......I wish him luck, and yes I'm hating.

We have better ex-players than we have players.

:smashfrea
Suisham still sucks!!!! He just might cost the Steelers a Superbowl which is ok with me!!!! |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Suisham said of being cut by the Skins despite making 18 of 21 field goal attempts.
Didnt know that!!!! I Just remember the Cowboy game |

Didnt know that!!!! I Just remember the Cowboy game
Yeah, all we remember is the Cowboys game and the Saints game. But he was 18/21. The problem was that those three misses were big misses. I'll bet that if Suisham had a grade II MCL tear, he would not play. Pussy. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Missed key field goals and did he mention he missed 10 FG the year before? Either way, good luck to him moving forward

Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Seriously what's the love affair with the guy? The guy couldn't make it here, twice.. in Dallas at least twice, Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit.. maybe he's the type of guy that needed to have his career come down to the wire.. who knows. Thanks to him for the Jets game and hope your career goes well elsewhere.
|
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
I don't think anyone has a "love affair" with this shankapotomus.
|
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Most kickers in the history of the league that have gotten cut, did so because they missed kicks, sometimes at vital times. Suisham is a young kicker that has gotten kicked around like many before him. He may eventually find his place in the league.
Missed key field goals and did he mention he missed 10 FG the year before? Either way, good luck to him moving forward
Wouldn't you say it was a case of poor management that Suisham was cut immediately following the Saints loss, but no one else who made a bad error in that game was released, even after the season?
To me, Vinny is the guy who cut his RFA tender kicker as a reaction to a loss two weeks before he was fired when the entire team needed critical evaluation. Such was the quality of leadership we had under him. Big changes --> meaningless high-replace-ability roster moves. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Imagine if the SB comes down to a Suisham FG?

I will rejoice and be glad in it. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
I loved the Suisham shank in the big game. UGLY kick!
I told my wife, watch this, he's going to miss badly...and he did. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
He sould be a free agent pretty soon.

I told my wife, watch this, he's going to miss badly...and he did.
Yeah that was awesome. I said something similar to the people I was watching the game with as did most every Redskin fan watching probably. The fact that he missed it so badly and the announcers were like that looked like nerves was pretty funny. It was a long kick, but it would have been a big factor if he made that. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Seemed like he started into his motion a little too quick
|
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
This guy is simply not a clutch kicker. We should have cut him after he missed that chip shot in Seattle back in 07.

W/out question he would've missed it. He snap hooked a PAT that barely went through. |

Then he shanked it. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
I don't remember him coming anywhere near a 52-yarder with us. I always thought his range was about 43-45 yards....until the Saints game at least.
|
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
He should still be in Seattle where I would have left him 4 years ago...
|

Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Wasn't Surprised at all. He's a career goat, and last night was no different, and barely got in the EP. Hopefully that'll Captain Hook's last shank in an NFL Uniform.

Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
Best I could find of just his shank:

Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
good kickers make that kick. bad ones don't. end of story. swishy sucked here because before he came to DC he was tainted with Dallas funk. EVERYTHING that touches anything to do with that suckfest down in texass ends up with residue suckdom.
|
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
oh...almost forgot..
Dallas Sucks. |
Re: Suisham knows exactly what not to say
If he made that field goal, Pittsdouche may have been celebrating yet another championship. But thank God it didn't happen.
