Brandon Lloyd NFL Receiving Yards Leader

Just say that a few times. That has to be one of the most amazing, unbelievable stats I've seen in a long time. Who would have thunk it? Brandon Lloyd? Our Brandon Lloyd, who couldn't get on the field? I heard it the other day, and I knew he had a good year, but the most receiving yards in the NFL?

Kudos to him for getting his sh** staight. I guess...

Re: Brandon Lloyd NFL Receiving Yards Leader

Guy is a bum. I'm not giving that clown kudos for doing anything other than stealing Dan Snyder's money. He's a underachiever and probably will be for the majority of his career/life. It's a shame when people with incredible talent blow it because they can't work hard or put any time/dedication into their craft. (see Devin Thomas) Hooray he had ONE good year. Like Haynesworth, it must be a contract year.

everyone always said that lloyd was the most talented wr when he was here. the dude is just an a-hole with attitude problems. guess he got it together. let's see him do it next year.

Who Cares? Nice season for a team that threw a shit load and were always down.. I was so excited when we signed that guy and he gave us nothing..

redsk1 01-19-2011 04:23 PM

Re: Brandon Lloyd NFL Receiving Yards Leader

That's why it's so unbelievable. The guy did NOTHING here at all except for steal money. But hey, someone gave it to him, when we didn't have to. We ripped up his existing contract and paid him bigtime.

Re: Brandon Lloyd NFL Receiving Yards Leader

He always had the talent so it's not surprising from that point of view. He just needed to get his head in the game and he finally did. Good for him.

I love his thoughts about former teams that "gave up" on him. I think it was something on the lines of **** them. lol.

i don't feel like the Skins' dropped the ball on him .. when he was here he sucked and was a waste of time ... i doubt he'll continue this journey into a pro bowl WR

Good for him. He got his act together. Too bad he didn't get it together while he was here and that this team couldn't motivate him. If memory serves me correct though, this team should've known his character issues.

they did by picking him up.

He was pretty much down to his last chance and it looks like he realized that if he did not apply himself he would be out on the streets. I can't knock a guy for getting his act together but i will hold judgment for next year.

He's not the first Redskin to stink it up here just to leave and light it up for another team. IMO, I think it has more to do with the Skins organization than the players. In most cases, we just don't seem to be able to bring out the best in guys that have obvious potential.

Bingo

Lloyd is on his 2nd team since leaving here, and his 8th season overall. I think in this case we can say his problems were his fault, and not the Redskins.

We will most likely add two more to that list if we dump AH and McNabb.

Another former Redskin who gets his career on track and does good things. You know guys like Lloyd, Ryan Clark, Randle El, S. Suisham are laughing their butts off at us and rightly so.

Maybe, but I don't understand why a guy would not want to showcase his talent if he has it. Could be coincidence but I wish we could pick up a guy who sucks and lights it up for us for a change. We have enough trouble motovating HOF type guys we acquire.

I don't think so. Most of those guys except Ryan Clark were under producing turds when they were here.
Brandon Lloyd had a great season on a terrible team that was always behind and had to pass the ball a ton. They were a crazy pass happy offense.
Stats can be deceiving and do not tell the entire picture.
If Lloyd can follow it up with another good season and the Broncos have a WINNING season then I would say great! But I am not sold on him doing it year after year like the real deal WR's do until I see it in 2011.

AH, probably, but McNabb won't be doing much after this. He's a year older and more battered. His mobility is dropping off. Donovan McNabb was never the greatest pocket passer, so without his wheels, he's going to get lit up more and more.

Who knows, but he had chances with the 49ers, Skins, and Bears covering 7 seasons before he put up a quality year. I think he's your classic underachiever who finally woke up before his career was over.

London Fletcher (Honestly could be the best MLB the Redskins have ever had) Yes I know we had Huff and Hanburger.. BUT 59 is a HOF player IMO

Santana Moss ( what else can u say?)

CP

Brunell

So we have had good players come to DC that were not drafted by the team

8 Games. 43 Tackles and 3 INT's. Not to shabby.

Worthless stats without total number of targets and tackles made on RBs or after a reception.

You can play that if you really believe that Hall sucked before he got here. But all you have to do is look at what he did in ATL.

Mmmmm, not so fast. You have to appreciate what he did in 2003 with the (Jersey) Jets.
74 Rec
1105 Yds.

Thats just about as good as he was here. So again, He was already good.

His 43 tackles are nice if it was charging up to stuff screens and RBs, but if he accrued them AFTER the receiver catches it, that means he lost that battle with his WR.

Actually the main discussion was guys suck while playing here and then light it up when playing elsewhere. So we were looking for guys that came here and worked out after busting with another team. Hall does not qualify as a bust who turned to gold when he got to the Skins because he was already good before he got here.

3card tryed to showcase his talent in Oakland. You cant do that when he lit it up in ATL.

Good one, but in 1997 with the Bills, he showed he could play. In fact I always believed if given the chance he could have been a great QB. But yeah he qualifies. So there's one.
