So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I personally cannot wear jerseys or skin stuff to work but I have noticed a lack of people walking around in any skins stuff. So did you sport any skins gear today?
|
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I'm not against wearing the Skins stuff the day after a loss because I want to entertain reasons why I'm wearing my team's gear and showing my support.
This season is different. I want changes to the front office and to the owners influence on the team. Wearing their gear after the game condones what the front office is doing with our team right now. I don't condone the moves they're making really I'm disgruntled right now. If they make moves to improve the team and not the profit margin then I might consider wearing the jersey after a loss like this. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
If it counts I turned the magnetic helmet I have on my car upside down.
If a fort or post is in duress, you wave an upside down flag, so I figured that was an appropriate way to display my emotions. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I usually wear my stuff on gameday and really don't own a lot of Skins gear (call it vanity or whatever but burgundy and gold aren't really my colors though I love the uni's), but I wear my silver and white skins cap on Mondays usually.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I have my Taylor towel in my car and when people at work see it and try to take a jab at me i just said "how bout them Nittany Lions?" That pretty much ends the conversation.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
Screw that. I never wear my gear after a loss. Not because I am ashamed(after this loss I am).
If anything no one show wear their Skins stuff as a protest for this terrible product put on the field; blame starts from the top and goes all the way down. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
My Sean Taylor jersey is going to be gathering some dust in my closet for a while after yesterday.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I agree 100% with the posts .. I usually bust out skins' gear quite often, I have a great Skins' Golf Polo like the coaches where ... i like to rock in on Monday or Friday .. this week it will have to wait until Friday if that ! Until the heart and order is back with this team the fans are going to get more and more restless and the shit is going to hit the fan, this time it's going to be an industrial size mega fan with a lot of shit.

I can see tossing your cooley jersey, but Sean Taylor. Man, wear it in honor, in memory. He wasn't a part of this hot mess. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I can't do any Skins gear when I'm at work but I showed up to work this morning with my 'Skins beanie on because it was kinda chilly early in the morn and I promptly received shit for it. Comes with the territory though, I was even catching shit from my own dad.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I work at a prison and I have a lanyard that has the Redskins on it. Almost everyone knows i like the Skins. I may admit that they are bad but will always wear it. Living in Colts country it would be so easy to jump but just cant do it. HTTR.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I'm just as disappointed, no embarrassed, hell no I mean ANGRY as anyone about the pathetic showing on Sunday but I'll NEVER stop wearing my Skins gear. I wore a Redskins hat and T-Shirt today on trip back from NY over the weekend. I'm a fan, win or lose. I'm sick and tired of the losing but my loyalty to the Burgundy and Gold will never waiver. The Redskins are terrible right now...changes need to be made for sure but I love em just the same.
HAIL!! |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I'm wearing Skins gear right now and giving all my cowroid buddies as much shit as they gave me yesterday ; ) HTTR FOREVER!!!

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?

I'm not tossing anything, and I think about Sean everyday. But it's a Redskins jersey. Sorry, but it's not getting air time from me right now. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
My car's plates have the Redskins symbol on it so unless I want to walk to work I am sporting Skins stuff plus my lanaird is Skins as well at work. Oh well.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I did- you have to take the punches. I live in NY and work with all Giants fans. Tough times.
|
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I only break out the Redskins polo on Fridays. On the weekends though I'm usually wearing some sort of gear win or lose.

Once the baseball playoffs start, they'll forget about football for a while. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I only wear my ST jersey to class on Mondays AFTER wins. I could only imagine the ridicule I'd get if I wore a Redskins jersey after a loss (to the Lions no less) in Ravens country.

Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I'm convinced that my car failed its emission inspection yesterday, even after it had been in the shop for a week for various problems, because the inspector saw my Redskins license plate frame, window sticker, and mini-helmet hanging from the rearview mirror.
The other sickening thing is that I work in Glen Burnie and since the ravens are doing well it's purple and black as far as the eye can see. I feel like I'm at a support group for domestic violence. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I wore a Caps t-shirt to work yesterday, because it's nice to have at least one decent team to follow. Thank God their season starts this week!

They are not our rivals and we are not theirs. Shit, I'll root for the Ravens, because whether they win or lose does not affect me as a Redskins fan (unless we are playing them). Glad to see the Ravens fan can be passionate about a team they stole from Cleveland. |

Glad to see the Ravens fan can be passionate about a team they stole from Cleveland.
For all their bitching about the Mayflower trucks sweeping away the colts in the middle of the night, it's funny how easily they forget that they did the same damn thing. They try to act like their an expansion team, which always makes me laugh. I root against them only because I'm surrounded by them and they are arguably more obnoxious as a fan base than Philly. They don't care at all about the team when they're having a down year but the second they start looking good all the purple crap comes out of the woodwork. And they LOVE to talk trash for no reason. I rooted for them the year they won the SB because I figured it was harmless, but once that one year went to all of their fans' heads they quickly moved up my list of most hated teams. Moving to Baltimore 2 years ago didn't really help, but at least when I lived there they sucked so I didn't have to hear about them one way or the other. |

Lets go Patriots this weekend!
Some of them are morons and some of them are not. Sometimes people just want to make a rivalry out of nowhere. With the Ravens, their rivals are Pittsburgh and Cleveland (well that latter one is pretty one sided). And see I won't root against the Ravens, I don't care about those few (and there few) moron fans that think they need a bullshit rivalry with the Skins. I think the Ravens have some solid players and have been able to overcome their deficiencies, and right now might be the best team in football. Besides, I would never root for Darth Hoodie...I'll never forget him running that score on us. |

Ditto! Plus, I will not buy a single ounce of gear, merchandise, or ticket from this Owner until there is some sort of philosophical change. |
Re: So Who Sported Their Skins Gear Today?
I was in Tacoma, WA for a business meeting on Monday, so I was in a suit, but I ran into a guy wearing a bright yellow cap with the burgundy R logo. I thought that was pretty cool after such a devastating loss.

Go walk around Middle River, Dundalk, or Glen Burnie they are horrible fans. Everyone must wear a jersey from Friday until Monday. Plus lets see what they do against NE this weekend before crowning them the best in football. Pfffff.... |
