"A Lot of These Guys Don't Want It"

You know it's bad when D. Hall is quoted as saying people on the Skins don't even care about the wins anymore.

My point exactly.

Re: "A Lot of These Guys Don't Want It"

That's pathetic in my view. When you're an athlete of an sort, a win should be on your mind first. The players have slipped into the state of mind of that, "Well, if we lose, whatever, I'm still getting paid at the end of the day".

Bullshit.

Re: "A Lot of These Guys Don't Want It"

I knew they didn't "want it" by just watching the game. I didn't need D. Hall to tell me this.

Gotta say I agree with Hall.

Some very lackluster performances out there, not just today but all season so far. Guys seem to be going through the motions. Almost too "medium". ;)

I wouldn't be either!

I'd be worried about what time Haynesworth's 75-foot yacht party started after the game.

Just like the sold out Redskins season tickets. The money is already in the bank...you can't take it back out.

Yup. And that starts with the head coach. Some of Gibbs' teams during 2.0 weren't very good, but you damn sure didn't have guys mailing it in on game day.

It's like I said in the "Now What" thread- what I wouldn't give to have a team of guys "fighting their guts out" right now.

I got a letter this summer from the Skins saying I was finally off the waiting list, and was offered season tickets. Man oh man I'm SOOOO glad I didn't buy them. I'm already mad about this season. If I had shelled out those thousands of dollars I'd be effing livid.

The team has the personality of its HC, eccentric, frantic, confused and probably a little screwy. Nobody here wants anything but a paycheck and I for one am no longer fitting the bill.

Well, he has experience being in a team that doesn't want to win (Oakland).

I agree.

I think a lot of fans are feeling this way. Especially with radio stations like WJFK making a big fuss about fans striking the team and not going to games I think that will be a popular idea.

I can't say at this point I have a lot of problems but I was a little amazed at how badly my head hurt after this game. I was physically affected by this loss more than any other.

The only player that I've kind of always felt never played liked he "wanted it" was Betts. Landry is either not being used properly or is one who doesn't want it. Other than that, I can pinpoint any other player that doesn't specifically look like he's fighting for his team.

You know what Lions fans are smarter than Skins fans all the way. Sure you have some diehards that are like Cubs fans, but there were easily 10,000-15,000 empty seats today at Ford Field. Detroiters are hurting economically and are not going to waste hard earned money watching lousy football and lining the pockets of a bunch of heavily overpaid thugs.

Dude this team has been this way since Norv. In a word the Skins have been apathetic post Gibbs I. Gibbs II they showed some spunk, but overall they still were way too comfortable if they lost even then. The problem is the structure of the pay system is out of control like with the bank CEOs. Even when you are doing lousy you are still going to be a multi millionaire. No accountablilty whatsoever.
WTF are you talking about? Gibbs said that usually after a piss poor loss.
Piss poor loss maybe, but not for lack of effort and heart, which is clearly evident with our current bunch of uninspired players.

Ever hear any players say guys in the locker room "didn't want it" after a Gibbs' coached game? Exactly. That's WTF I'm talking about.

Re: "A Lot of These Guys Don't Want It"

Our team is SOFT. Softer than cotton balls and stuffed animals. I saw certain players on the sidelines pouting like girls that lost their prom dates when we were still in the game. Some didn't even give a flying fig to even pout.

We have no fire. We play so lackadaisical. I never saw a Skins team this fragile.

they won't make a move until the bye week...and that is if they make a move. that's been reported from andy schefter from espn.com if that's worth anything.

That D. Hall interview is just scathing.

He is really calling people out and he is only in his first year as a full time Redskin. He is certainly going to draw attention within the team doing that.

Yeah and for somebody who has done nothing except get blown up whenever the ball is thrown his way, I think he should be quiet. The D as a whole played like garbage, save London Fletcher who is out there by himself.

I'm on Hall's side...you can tell the team has no heart, and no desire to win. Whether or not you agree with Hall saying it, doesn't mean he's not on to something.

He seems like he's one blow up away from just naming names.

Out with it Hall, you really couldn't make this team any worse.

He's gotta be talking about Haynesworth and Landry.
