Yahoo sports website (players salary)
I'm sorry if this is a repost but I thought this was very cool. The yahoo website for NFL teams gives you the salary for each player on the roster, is this new?

Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
I believe that is new, haven't seen that before. Although most of that info was available via the NFL Players website in the past, most people just didn't know to look there.

Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
Of course this is also a good reference for the Redskins:

Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
A very cursory look at it makes me wonder if it is accurate. CC's stuff has been very spot on empirically and there seems to be some discrepancies between the two.

We're thinking we're actually paying $2,500 according to CC. CC is right. The Yahoo site I think is crap. |

Wouldn't surprise me. It must be up to par with their front page news reporting. |

Ya this looks to be useless info. Not sure how they come up with these numbers, not to mention all the N/As... Move on everyone, nothing to see here... |
Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
Thanks CC. I knew you were on top of it.

Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
Yahoo seems to be including things like roster bonuses, guaranteed money, etc.

Anyone else notice that Brandon Lloyd is costing us 5.3M in dead cap this year? <sigh>

Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)
The warpath Salary Cap link has Phillip Daniels costing us $314,000 in dead cap space. How is this possible?
|
Re: Yahoo sports website (players salary)

If I remember correctly we cut Daniels last year which resulted in the deadcap hit. We then resigned him to a one year deal in 2009. |

There's a difference between cash-in and cap hit/earnings. He may have deposited 13 mil (or will with game checks) it doesn't all count as "earned" as ar as the cap goes. Cash bonuses get prorated over the length of the deal for a max o 6 years. |
