Good read!

I hope Romo Eli and McNabb dream about this the night before our games!

Re: Redskins’ shiny new toy not playing around

I'm no financial advisor but lets do some inventory:

$4 million boat new approx
$300,000 car
$10 million house I'm guessing

$15 million right there....

$40 million guaranteed right?
After taxes= $28 million
After agent= $25 million

Assets can rapidly decline. Just looking a glimpse of his spending habits i'd say there could be a problem. Maybe. Hell, i'd buy a boat too though, just most likely not for 4 million. Can you say Evander Holyfield? Albert meet Evander.

Anyways who cares...hope he destroys the NFL this year.

Oh yeah...i'm just saying. Mike Tyson had more money. Hope he's smart about it.

He'll probably make more than 40 mill too. Nice boat though.

FINALLY -- someone (other that Sean Taylor) who really seems to want to kick the crap out of an opponent. We have really needed some old-school, smashmouth players on this team for years.

Mr. Haynesworth, meet Messrs. Romo, Manning, and McNabb.

Re: Redskins’ shiny new toy not playing around

spending aside, i have to agree...if this guy can stay consistent and play 100% for 16 games, he could be a difference maker (as in singlehandedly winning 2-3 games). His 22% body fat is astonishing. Wide Receivers hover around 7-8% I believe so for a DT to just have 14% more body fat on his frame is incredible

Re: Redskins’ shiny new toy not playing around

Yeah i just really, really hope Al stays mean and plays his guts out every down. My guess is he does just that on account of his pride to be a best...otherwise, if he doesn't live up to expectations, he'll be something of a joke around the league, all tied up w/ Snyder and the past 10 years of questionable moves.

We should challenge them to an extra-league throwdown. Best out of five games for nothing but pride.

I don't care how tough the man is. If the defense is on the field for three quarters of every game again this season, we'll have another BS year.

..please don't pull a Stubblefield... please don't pull a Stubblefield... please don't pull a Stubblefield...

Stubblefield - 1997 - w SF - NFL Defensive POY - 16 games, 15 sacks.
Stubblefield - 1998 - w Skins - YUCK (:vomit:) - 7 games, 1.5 sacks.

Stubblefield - w Skins - 3 years, 7 sacks.

...and this was while playing beside another fantastic DT pickup Dan Wilkinson (:Flush:).

It's so hard for me to picture FAs actually earning what we pay for them here... prove me wrong once Albert!

Good point. And it would be nice if they could have a big lead in the 4th quarter every now and again, so the starters can get some plays off and stay fresh throughout the season. Every game is a friggin nail biter.

Yeah, it would be nice to blow someone up every now and then. Let the subs get some gametime reps and not have my nerves frazzled by the end of the season.

I read in the "debunking myths" thread that Dallas has the oldest o-line in the division. Haynesworth should sue you for using his screen name.

I've been watching our offense go three and out for 3/4 of almost every game for years. Haynesworth should be so lucky to stay out of court.
Show me the money. I'm not satisfied with winning the off-season.

I just don't get people who buy boats like this. Why would you want a boat that you cannot sit outside and enjoy the water when driving the boat. Most larger boats have a helm inside and one out side but this boat only has one inside.

Probably because you pay someone else to drive this boat for you.

I figure this boat requires minimum two to crew.

Beautiful machine.

It's easier to enjoy your sex cruise when you don't have to worry about the driving. Just ask Smoot.

You really think Al is going to be driving that boat? If you spend $4M on an 80 foot yacht, you're damn sure going to have a crew running it for you.

That thing is bad ass. Good for him.

He is a physical freakshow. It is unbelievable that a 320+ pound man can legitimately line up at right defensive end.

I love that he has a mean streak. The "character guy" bit was getting old in my book. Give me a guy that will stomp on your mother on Sunday.

Too many character guys keep you at 8-8.

Re: Redskins’ shiny new toy not playing around

AH's sack totals will not be the determining factor of a succesful season. Ill be keeping an eye out on QB pressures, swatted balls, overall team sacks, and interceptions. The move to sign AH impacts our defense as a whole. Sacks from the DT position is icing on the cake.

“You can count on one finger the number of guys in the NFL who can do all the things he can do on the defensive line,” former Tennessee defensive coordinator and current Detroit head coach Jim Schwartz said.

To paraphrase George Preston Marshall - I'm tired of watching our good character guys chase their bad character guys into the endzone.
