Celtics vs. Bulls
this series is going to make me go crazy. I have been a huge Celtics fan my whole life and I have never seen a battle like this.
the Bulls just keep pulling sh*t out of their ass down the stretch. I am exicited about game 7 I want the C's to win but I know they are pretty much cooked come the second round with no KG or Powe so it might be worth to let CHI move ahead but I just hate Noah so much! |

Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
This is shaping up to one of the great series of all time. That last game was completely absurd.

Sorry I am tired from last nights game. Yawn. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
The Celtics should have put them away with 3 minutes to go and up 8 in the 4th.
|
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Last night was awesome. Sometimes i get frustrated watching Derek Rose. There are times, like the late block in regulation last night, where he is clearly the most talented guy on the court. And then there are times when Chicago needs someone to put his throat on the Celtics, and he's not that guy. He has moments where he avoids contact when approaching the basket, and i don't think he's drawing enough fouls because of it.

Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Sometimes I feel like the NBA is very much like the WWE, I would have bet a million dollars yesterday that this series went 7. No way the NBA lets this end in six.
What is weird is that Boston blew them out in game three, plus if Pauly hits a damn free throw at the end of game one this series would have been done in 5. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Yeah this series will probably be the best of the entire playoffs this year.
|
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
What about Noah? I was surprised to see him dribble full speed down the court and jam it home. It was sickkk

Sick of the Bulls? I never got that argument. Sure they were great during Jordan but the Celtics are the most dominant franchise in the NBA, EVER. More championships than anyone with 17! They won EIGHT straight in the 60's and have won 2-3 each decade since(Except 90's). This decade it has only been one, but that is one more than the Bulls. Bulls only dominated in the 90's winning 3 in a row twice. But that is it! Boston has been a whole heck of a lot more dominate since the 50's. Unless you only account for the 90's you can't be "sick" of the Bulls. If you really want to says Bulls have been dominant in the NBA you MUST be comprehensive and Celtics have shown they can win consistently throughout time. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Maybe if you are a Pistons, Knicks, Portland, or Jazz fan you can make this claim on rivalry but that claim is made with a bias opinion.
|
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
I am just sick of Noah but ever great series must have a "heel" and their "faces". It is what makes it exiciting.

Sick of the Celtics??? Because of 1 championship in the past 2 decades? The Celts were HORRIBLE for years and had serious bad luck (reggie lewis, lenny bias, getting screwed out of tim duncan, and getting screwed out of 1st draft pick 2 years ago). LOVE LIVE THE C's! |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Do you know how bad KG must be right now? This series must be eating him alive inside.
|
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
If KG was playing the series might not have been this good. C's probably would have won it already.
|
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
there are rumors Garnett might try to play in game seven. and whats up with Rondo? all of a sudden he turns into a dirty player? i guarantee if the 7 foot Miller smacked him the face, in the same situation, there would have been a suspension. and what he did to Heinrich was down right dirty. but you are right. what a series

Exactly, that is why it is killing him. I love Rondo, I think he is in the spotlight right now and has let the emotion of the game get to him but he really is not a dirty player. |

But, I'm a huge Celtic fan since the mid-70s so I know the history very well. My son's godfather is from Chicago and a huge Bulls fan. Needless to say listening to the Jordan and Bulls crap for the better part of a decade got pretty old. I can't stand Jordan either. Although I do like these Bulls, Rose, Gordon and Heinrich are a great backcourt. They find a big man (Stoudamire??) and they'll be a force for several years. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
Regardless what happens in game seven it is better to be a Bulls fan, their future is much brighter. The Celtics bet the house on one season and got a Championship, they may have gone back to back this year if injuries had not killed them by next year they will be to old to do anything. It was fun while it leasted now back to reality. =(
Can we have Al Jefferson back now? |

1- Rondo is NOT a dirty player! The play on Miller, while rough, was not suspension worthy. He did not intentionally try to hurt Miller, you could tell by the way he came in, and the follow through. If it was accidental by miller, I would expect the same results. 2- Rondo was tossed to the floor in one of the first 2 games (can't remember which) and no suspension was tossed out. This is the playoffs. Regular season, maybe a suspension would be handed out in both cases, but not the playoffs. You have to do a Dwight Howard to get suspended. 3- Garnett has had waaaay too many rumors. A TON of people have already said he's done. I would imagine he would show up for the Cavs series if he is going to at all. That might be worth a career ending injury to him, but not the Bulls. The rumor is that he will suite up, possibly for motivational reasons, not play.
and what he did to Heinrich was down right dirty. but you are right. what a series
I must have missed something, please inform me of what Rondo did to Heinrich. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
1. that was not accidental. he made absolutely NO play on the ball.
2. getting knocked to the floor is one thing. getting free bridge work by someone other then your dentist is another 3. i agree with this. just more drama 4. Heinrich boxed Rondo out. Rondo then decided to grab him by the arm, and toss him into the scorers table. no other way to stick up for him in this situation. it was a dirty play |

The league saw it differently, and I can see how someone would think it was intentional...it was intentional to make contact, but not take him out like that...I think that was purely accidental. But, just an opinion. 2- That sounds like a good mastercard promo. "Getting free bridge work by someone other than your dentist...PRICELESS". 3- He's wearing his suite and sitting on the bench right now. I hope he comes back for the Cavs series, assuming we make it that far. 4- I saw a brief clip of it on sportscenter, and the funny thing is, they didn't show anything leading up to it, just Heinrich reacting to it. Please keep in mind I am not sticking up for him in this case, I really don't know...I missed the play. |

You are 100% right about Jordan...man I LOVED watching that guy play. What an amazing athlete and someone that took over a game like no one else. So because you deemed Rondo's actions to be of malicious intent, you say "screw Boston"? Ouch. Ray Allen is one of the nicest men in all of basketball, could argue THE nicest. Not fair to lump in every Celtics player with Rondo. |
Re: Celtics vs. Bulls
This series has been flat out awesome. 2 possession game right now late in the 4th. Unreal.
I'm pulling for my fellow Gator Joakim Noah and the Bulls, although it looks like Boston has got this. |

Oh, I'm sorry I couldn't hear you over the gunfire from the ghetto your living in. See, in the non-ghetto classes of america, we prefer watching sports that take some balls to play. Last time i checked, the only thing that was ballsy about basketball is when the oversized apes grab themselves after a dunk. Which happens on every other god damn play. Go Caps! |
