Halloween - Clinton Portis
 

Since it is Halloween and CP promised to break out one of his costumes on NFL Network. Wouldn't Halloween be the perfect time for him to do it and not be a distraction? Can he break out "Dr. Do-Itch Big"? or would you rather see another character? If so which one?

I think the costume deal is played out. It was fun at the time, but I think even Portis wants to move on from it.

He promised to break one out on NFL Network. So this would be the perfect time since it is about to be "HALLOWEEN" with out being a distraction. Costumes are played out on Halloween?

Yea I think hes all business right now....but who knows with CP.

I would much rather him have a BIG TREAT in store for the steelers, like 100+ and a HUGE VICTORY for the HOME TEAM! :)

Someone was trying to tell me that CP was fined by the NFL for wearing those costumes and thats why he quit dressing up for media day. I argued that he probably misunderstood what they were talking about and CP was fined for something he wore durn a game. So does anyone know the answer.

Another instance where 2 facts were taken out of context. Portis was fined for uniform violations. He commented on the fine while dressed up for media day. He did not get fined for dressing up on media day.

I don't know... I always liked the costumes; it had it's time and purpose. I do agree that it doesn't need to be resurected though.

I know they call the NFL the No Fun League. I guess it has spread to this board too. I thought it would be fun for the kids to see (some adults would probably get a kick out of it too) and also since it was Halloween. Thus the title Halloween CP. If you think him putting a costume on for Halloween will prevent him from having good rushing games then you obviously are nuts. This thread was all in fun for the holiday which is coming soon. But hey I guess some people are uptight. Loosen up..I am not asking him to run out on the field with a Jason mask on during a game or wear some fangs as a mouth piece.

Oh and I think he got fined for his socks. I think him and ST (R.I.P.) used to get fined for the extra pairs of ringed socks, also solid red socks and not having their jerseys tucked in..might have been some other infractions too.

I'd be down for a a C.P. Costume. I'd like something fresh though. Also, yeah I'm over the bit too, but I agree it would be fun for Halloween.

I think if CP has moved on then obviously we have to also but I always thought it kinda lightened the mood and kept the team loose. The team has played a lot of games so far if you think about it. 5 preseason and what 8 games going on 9 prior to a week of rest. I know we want to keep the teams mind on the game but I'll admit I'm kinda dissapointed that the costumes didn't come out again. Perhaps it's he was not sure how Zorn would take it or perhaps Zorn said no goofing around on camera. I don't know. Also Zorn has been getting a little testy also each and every game. I think they need the break bad.
