Biggest Bust in 07
Including teams or individuals... Who or what team was the biggest bust in the nfl in 07???
I have to go with Cadillac Williams.. 4 Games 208 yards and 2 fumbles. Another dismal campaign for Carnell. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Da Bears.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Alex Smith QB 49ers.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
the Rams & Broncos, but the rams had key injuries. The Broncos had a big offseason, signing some big names, but they failed to take advantage of a division that was floundering until SD went on its latest win streak.
As for players, what about Vick? I know, the criteria must be guys that played. That said, I'd go with Byron Leftwich. He went from franchise qb to journeyman this year. His ankle has never been right, but he also has a terribly long wind up throw. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
i would put Baltimore close to that. They had a substantial drop off in performance.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
I don't know if this counts as a bust, but Shaun Alexander hasn't done $hit since Steve Hutchinson left. Plus he's a pussy.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Larry Johnson. What a tool.
|

Good for him. If we end up playing them I hope he keeps up his stellar performances. |

totally forgot them, and I had picked them to win it all! Every time I pick them to do well they suck. |

...Hope this remains true 2 weeks from now. biggest bust has to be the ravens. After last year's record and the additon of willis mcgahee they should be contenders. I would fire billick for sure |

Aww dammit! |

yea thats why i put 4 games..When Fred Taylor missed games he was labled a bust for a few years.. injuires are a part of the game as we know very well..He wasnt making any noise before the injury and the Bucs havent missed him. 07 was a bust for him.. they counted on him and the 25 % of the season he was able to suit up he didnt perform.. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Yeah Cadillac was a bust this year to a degree and he seems to be injury prone.
Personally I would give him the benefit of the doubt for now. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
I see what you mean though..If I had to grade on a larger sample even though he got banged up a little bit too Id agree with Alex Smith
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
How about the Arizone Cardinal? It seems like every year they're picked as a sleeper to make the playoffs, and they never make it.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Baltimore Ravens. Lost 9 straight, including giving Miami their lone win of the year.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Definitely the Ravens. After making the playoffs last year and then lay such a huge egg this year is just horrible.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
+1 for the Ravens. Stinky, pee-yew!

I think the Cardinals had a pretty good season they had a lot of close games. Next year they will be the team to watch. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
In choosing from the pool of rookies, I'd have to say Jamaal Anderson from the Falcons. Especially considering the season that Kearny's having over in Seatle.
Biggest bust. Wow quite a menu Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Bobby Petrino, Joe Gibbs Suckage (refering to everyone thinking that the game has passed him by), Mike Vick, Cadillac Williams, Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander, Alex Smith, Phillip Rivers, Late season Eli Manning, Hey wait a minute. Wheres Mario Williams? |

That is the biggest bust to me this year... |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Marc Bulger
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
im not saying this guy is a bust, but what the hell happened to Troy Polomalu?
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
How about the 49ers? All those expensive free agents got them nowhere. Sounds kinda familiar.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
we knew tchose FAs wouldnt pay off though. they spent a ton of money on players that everyone knew were average at best. the only real signing they had (that wasn't 100% wasted money) was clements.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Adam Archuleta after getting run out of town.... but...Still sits the bench in Chicago.... However why would he care.... He can always go home to his incredible Girlfriend...

...............and he is getting paid. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Bust: Players from auburn, I can't think of a player that was able to finish the year...
Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, C Rogers and J Campbell had season ending injuries. Even Marcus washington missed significant time. Javon Kearse: It looks like he will never be the freak again. Saints Cornerback David: I've never seen a player get abused like he was this year. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Eli Manning....Biggest bust since Ryan Leaf maybe even Heath Shuler...in the BOTTOM five with passer rating.....talk about destroying a pedigree.....
Eli Manning = Pat Ramsey at best |

Eli Manning = Pat Ramsey at best[/quote] I also think he stinks, but not to the point of ryan leaf or heath shuler. He's doing better than alex smith. |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
I would say the Saints and the Chargers. They both had the talent to easily win their divisions. The Chargers just happen to be in the worst division in football which makes them a bigger bust.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
Gumble on NFL Network, a consistant dumbass every week. A bust as a sports commentator, but I guess he never was really that good. I'll say The Bears.
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
the cardinals...each year they sell us wolf tickets of how good they could be.only to fall short
|
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
1) Reggie Bush
2) Rex Grossman 3) Da Bears 4) Eli Manning, because so much was expected |
Re: Biggest Bust in 07
could this be the biggest bust of 07?:
