Brunell's pulled groin??
Anyone else at all concerned??...
|
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
I am hess. You don't mind if I call you Hess do you? You can call me Hess or you can call me Less...remember those commercials?
This is definitely concerning to me - a lot. Brunell is one bad hit and a good Joe Gibbs heart to heart from putting us in the Jason Campbell era. |

Not in the least. Brunell plays through injuries with almost no dropoff in production. He's a true gamer... |

tell me you're joking. remember his drop off last year after hurting his leg? how about that little "dropoff" called ALL OF 2004?? |

Oooohhh Southpaw....are we watching the same Brunell. He's most definitely a gamer. One of the injuries that caused him to suck for much of 04 was that groin and a weird calf injury. He seems to get a lot of those. But there is most definitely a droppoff in his play I think. |

I really want to be positive about this, but Brunell needs to show that he can take a beating and keep on making plays. Maybe this year will be different and he'll become our hero!.. (fantasy) |

LMAO... |
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
I'd be worried if he wasn't going to play tomorrow night, but from the sound of things it was a minor tweak and he sat out practice just as a precaution.

Brunell's had a long productive career. He doesn't have anything left to prove....except being a good QB coach for JASON CAMPBELL |

I hate to be the one to say...but here goes, Brunell may have had his best season in '05. I think with the major additions and not so many big plays given up by the defense, we should be in shape. But let me tell you one thing, if our season depends on Brunell we're done. |

I know you're kidding so I'm not gonna even entertain this statement with some sort of knee jerk overreaction. |
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
Easy solution:
1. Campbell 2. Brunell 3. That ex-Chiefs guy. There, all sorted. |

I think Gibbs should sit him out the rest of pre-season. Why play? If there is even the possibility that this is an issue, Brunell should sit out the remainder of preseason. He knows how to be ready at this point. No sense in risking anything with him! |

Look, I'm sorry, but every time I say Todd Co...urgh, there we go again. I just threw up a little. As I was saying "The ex-Chiefs guy"..... |

I think we need to nip that in the bud before sitting Brunell down. |

Seriously... I guess I don't post enough for some people to pick up the sarcasm. |
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
OR ...we can just sit him down for good and let campbell start...i was listening to the riggins show and he seems to think that with our defense...we have the same shot with campbell in there....i seriously think brunell was awesome last year but i would much rather see mr Campbell in there!!!!

Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
Don't piss on Collins. He looked HORRIBLE in that first game where all our 2nd team DBs looked horrible too. But did you notice the last game? He seemed to be under pressure a lot, but when he was he always got the ball away to someone who was open. His only really bad throw happened when he had plenty of time. To me, this indicates he's battling a case of the nerves, which he should be able to work out with some more snaps.
He also seemed to quickly find the open receiver. Yeah, Ortega's defender fell down, but Collins saw it. I can't imagine all his throws were to his #1 targets. Furthermore, I can't imagine this coaching staff getting someone (whose abilities they know) who ends up being as bad as he seemed that first game. Remember, Brunell of 2004 came before Brunell of 2005. |
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
I'll be in the corner, drooling and rocking slowly until someone gives the all clear on Brunell.
|
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
It doesn't sound so bad for Brunell according to Gibbs. Of course, he's not going to be specific about the extent of the injury. This is probably another good reason for us to have traded for Duckett. A starting tandem of Duckett and Portis will be extremely beneficial for Campbell if he's put into the starting role. We'll see running 60/40 run/pass ratio if that's the case.

Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
Brunell pulled a groin?
As long as it was his own groin, it's his business. |
Re: Brunell's pulled groin??
Frankly, my wife was out of town on Wednesday, and I pulled mine about six times.
