Re: Media Bias
Sorry but IMO , no. With the internet and social media there are more "reporters" / blogger's" then ever, more outlets to get news and it's easier. Again as I stated before the consumer needs to educate themselves. I will add that I do my part , I buy three to four newspapers a week.
That is the quandary. I think for the most part people do try to educate themselves, but end up with misinformation and spin due to the overwhelming bias of the most popular news outlets. It's real hard to believe what you see and hear anymore - and even the "fact-checkers" need fact-checking now. |

This might be the only thing we agree on politically Chief. I think that scale is accurate. I also have social media but don't get any mainstream news for it, mine is strictly for keeping up with friends/family and sharing memes. |

I also have social media but don't get any mainstream news for it, mine is strictly for keeping up with friends/family and sharing memes.
I don't know how accurate those scales are, but they are from two different sources. They do seem fairly similar, and probably about right - just from a cursory look and without any investigation. |

Clearly these are extremely biased news sources…
LOL, under what Ownership? |
Re: Media Bias
Well neither side has a monopoly on idiotic questions (and in this case I mean really idiotic).

I could but this in a number of threads but I thought chico would like this best since he is a FOX die hard.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/jan-6-hearing-dominates-top-044650392.html Jan. 6 hearing dominates top TV networks — except one ONE! NEW YORK (AP) — America's top television networks on Thursday turned prime time over to a gripping account of former President Donald Trump's actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol — with one prominent exception. The top-rated news network, Fox News Channel, stuck with its own lineup of commentators. Sean Hannity denounced the “show trial” elsewhere on TV just as he was featured in it, with the House's Jan. 6 committee examining his tweets to Trump administration figures. |

Fact check: Social media post shows fabricated story about Biden and the economy
Ana Faguy, USA TODAY Mon, August 8, 2022 at 12:01 PM https://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-social-media-post-160104407.html The claim: Image shows headline of story in The Atlantic praising Biden for having the courage to shrink the economy In July, the Commerce Department reported the economy shrank for a second straight quarter, stoking recession worries. President Joe Biden has rejected that description and has taken steps to strengthen the economy. Nevertheless, a July 30 Facebook post has helped spread the false notion that Biden has purposefully hurt the economy and wants to see it contract. It shows an image of fabricated headlines from a nonexistent article by The Atlantic. The post was shared more than 100 times in four days. The headline of the purported story reads, "The Quiet Courage of Biden's Negative Growth Economy." The supposed subheadline reads: "In an era of unchecked economic prosperity, one man had the moxie to pump the brakes - to save us from ourselves." But a spokesperson for The Atlantic told USA TODAY the article and the headlines in the image are fabricated. The Atlantic headline is not real The image in the social media post does not depict real headlines, and The Atlantic never wrote such a story, Anna Bross, a spokesperson for The Atlantic said. "We have reported this as fake and as a trademark infringement," Bross told USA TODAY in an email. The story was not published on The Atlantic's website and does not appear on The Atlantic's Twitter account. |
Re: Media Bias
^the take away from the Atlantic should be why are readers believing that’s a true headline.

Why do you believe what trump says? |
Why do you believe what trump says?
What does the story that was apparently not published on The Atlantic's website have to do with Trump? Or do you just strive to include the word "trump" in all your posts... |

Since he , you and a few others here are trumps sheep and follow his every command I think that it is very relevant to point out that you listen to all he says and does without question, you "believe what he says like you would believe that article becuase it was a negative about Biden. In simple I will point out every hypocrisies I can with the trump sheep in any and all bitching becuase they deserve it. You fail to realize I can use trump becuase in all these situations...it's true and is relevant. chico was just too dumb to tell the difference between bias media FOX and a photo shopped made up lie. |
