Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Don't you love those days where nobody on your team shows up, like not at all??
Outside of Miami's D that rang up 22 for me, my next highest scorer is Brandon Marshall with 9 points. All of my guys outside of my D scored single digits. Pathetic. |

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I'm not sure if I should start Jonathan Stewart in fantasy this week. He's playing our defense, but our d has been ok against the run, except for last week. They're not really running the ball either. But the question is, if I put him in, who do I take out?
I have 2 rb and a flex spot, and my current starters are Doug Martin/Darren Sproles at RB, and Vincent Jackson at flex. I'm not really enthusiastic about benching any of them for Stewart, given Stewart's lack of touches this year. |

7-1 in one league and 6-2 in another. Picking up Peyton Manning late in one draft was great and RGIII late in the other. Grabbed Steven Ridley in the mid-rounds in both leagues. 10 man non-ppr leagues and usually 8 or 9 wins makes the playoffs, so baring a total collapse, I should be in the playoffs in both leagues. This week no Patriots, BYE, but I have Willis McGhaee in both leagues, and he looks great. I hope all these guys are still hot in December.

i have a better feeling about palmer vs kc than dalton vs denver. i have no faith in bennett, especially vs the steelers. this week, on waivers, i tried to get my hot little hands on olsen, but had to settle for tamme. still can't believe i landed aj green for spiller, leshoure, and lance moore. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I've been shuffling TE's all season. I drafted Aaron Hernandez and he can't get on the field. I picked up Pettigrew the other day. Couldn't believe he was on the waiver wire.

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
i was so patient w fred davis, but that never paid off. i had heath miller on my roster at one point, but dropped him in favor of bennett
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I have Hernandez and Olsen on one team, Vernon Davis and Fleener on another and Just Vernon on the third team.
Been playing Olsen obviously on team #1. On team #2, I just dropped Fleener for Greisham (dropped last week by someone) since Davis has a bye this week and Fleener hasn't panned out. Since Vernon's my only TE on team #3, I picked up LOGAN PAULSEN for his bye week...starting him Sunday, then I'll drop him. He's been solid for a few weeks...no one else exciting on the wire...why not? :D |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Sooo, I picked up SD defense for this week since mine has a bye. Great move, 2 defensive tds, KC put basically nothing on the board. EXCEPT, I was so busy between work and stuff, I didn't move them into the active position.

it doesn't make sense to me that you cannot set the lineup when you're requesting the add. you can set up who you want to drop in their place once the move is processed, but you can't set up where you want them on the roster. you have to wait for the move to process - then make the lineup change. tough break crr, hopefully the rest of your team picks up the slack. my complaint doesn't seem so bad now, jamaal charles got me 5. better than the 0 he got me last week. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Louis Murphy (CAR No. 2 WR - Brandon Lafell is doubtful) against us or Devery Henderson vs. Philadelphia.
20 Team PPR League I know we're horrible so Murphy has a chance - but Henderson is in the Saints O who is missing Sproles and the Eagles do give up big plays |

I'm SO PISSED the person I played today is a HUGE Panthers fans so she had Cam Newton, Steve Smith and randomly started Evan Royster!!
It's a tight game and if that stupid ass Royster vulture TD wins it for her I'm going to be so pissed. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I'm pretty happy, I'm 6-2, soon to be 7-2, and Doug Martin just gave me 53 motherf'n points! That shit's crazy, 250 rushing yards, 4 td's. My game was pretty tight before that, but I'm up 131-87 and he only has Jason Witten left. And even if D-Mart hadn't had a huge game, I still have Roddy White/Julio Jones. Things are looking up too, I finally shored up my rb spot by trading Vincent Jackson for CJ Spiller.

Up 156 to 79 - thank you Mr Martin! 63 points! Wow. No internet cus of the hurricane. I picked up Chargers D last week (san fran had the bye). By the time the waiver request went through my internet was down. Chargers D had 27 on my bench or I think I would have broke a scoring record for my league. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
what a game by doug martin, glad i wasn't playing against him.
i beat the guy who was previously undefeated in my money league. i'm up 98-92, i have lesean mccoy tonight, all his players have played. unless there is a 7 point swing in stat corrections, or mccoy does nothing but loses 4 fumbles tonight - i should be alright. i have actually pulled mccoy from my lineup, taking the proverbial knee. *edit, typo |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
i had put mccoy back in the lineup last week, it didn't matter.
this week my toughest choice is at qb, here's how i'm leaning: QB Andy Dalton, Cin*QB RB LeSean McCoy, Phi*RB RB Matt Forte, Chi*RB WR Hakeem Nicks, NYG*WR**Q WR A.J. Green, Cin*WR TE Joel Dreessen, Den*TE FLEX Jamaal Charles, KC*RB**Q D/ST Broncos D/ST*D/ST K Connor Barth, TB*K Bench Larry Fitzgerald, Ari*WR BYE Bench Alex Green, GB*RB BYE Bench Mike Williams, TB*WR Bench Josh Gordon, Cle*WR BYE Bench Martellus Bennett, NYG*TE**Q Bench Carson Palmer, Oak*QB Bench Danny Amendola, StL*WR**Q |

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Yeah we use Yahoo as well, very frustrating yesterday. I was actually going to NFL.COM and doing some hand-figuring to get my stats. That was very old school because I was a guy doing the same hand figuring for Fantasy Football back in the early 90's before computers did it all for you! LOL

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Here's funny...
I have a team in a 2-QB league...where we play 2 active QBs every week. I have RGIII and Aaron Rodgers...both on bye this week. So, I dropped some end-of-the-bench WRs and RBs to pick up the ONLY two remaining active QBs this week off the wire just to have someone in the spots for a few poitns instead of none. They were Mark Sanchez and Blaine Gabbert. They COMBINED to get me 11 points! :D They're going back into the FA pool obviously...one week need. Oh, and I'm going to win the matchup this week too. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
The Warpath Money League has lost a bit of its drama going into these last weeks. One team has already clinched a spot. As to the last three spots, one (or more) of the three 7-3 teams has to go 1-3 or 0-4 and one (or more) of the 4-6 teams has to go 3-1 or 4-0. Also, given the scoring to date, the current top 4 teams are likely to hold the "highest points" tiebreaker.
Haven't looked at the schedule, but I imagine it would be possible for the playoffs to be basically set this weekend. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
If you guys all play in 14 game regular season leagues like I do, then 8-6 most likely will be enough to make it into the playoffs which are Weeks 15 and 16. I'm 8-2 in one league and 9-1 in another. I'm kind of coasting until mid-December. Then you know my guys won't show up and I'll probably loose in the first round!
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Yeah, that happened to me a couple of years ago ... highest scoring team all year, best record in the league, then the first week of the play-offs my guys tank. Boom. Done. Just the way the cookie crumbles.
I have a great team this year but I can see it happening all over again. As for our league, we have one undefeated team, three 7-3 teams then five 4-6 teams. I agree, 8-6 will probably get a team in the play-offs, but I think a lot of things would have to break in favor of one of the current 4-6 teams to do that - including making up a substantial point differential. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
i love my money league team, 7-3 and just clinched my division, most likely the #2 seed in the playoffs.
starting to plot moves for the final weeks, when some starters may be resting. it was the cj spiller/lance moore/mikel leshoure for aj green trade that put me over the top. he's still kicking himself, idk what he was thinking |
