Did we really trade 3 first rounders for number 2 pick? I love rg3 but that's steep. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do for your franchise qb
*
The NFL's a gamble man. I trust shanahan/allen with first rounders. Kerrigan and Trent look like great players to me. I think Griffin is Aaron Rodgers but with Mike Vick type of elusiveness. |

*
No we traded 2 1st rounders and 2nd rounder |

According to NFL.com, cbssports.com, and foxsports.com, the compensation was indeed 3 first round picks and a 2nd rounder. |

If the Fletcher deal doesn't get done are there any MLB's out there to replace him? 7 million is insane for a guy his age

Technically, we exchanged this year's 1st round pick, and gave up 2 firsts and a second. My take? Had to be done. |
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
I think that the Redskins have not been hot to sign Adam Carricker, because they want Paul Soliai.

They play two different positions. |

Yes, but they intend to kick Cofield out to DE on run situations. |

Explanation #1 We swapped #1's this year, people seem to forget that, we are picking RG3 you know? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanation #2 We moved from #6 to #2 in the first round this year. To move up those 4 spots, we gave up 2 first rounders and an 2nd rounder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanation #3 We got a 1st They got 3 1st and a 2nd Simple subtraction will tell you they got 3 extra picks, 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WTF #1 Or.....Did we just give them 3 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for nothing in return? :) |

Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
insane, 3 1sts and a 2nd to move up 4 spots
|
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
"insane, 3 1sts and a 2nd to move up 4 spots"
Or 3 1sts and a 2nd to get a franchise qb. Lets say we don't do the deal. We finish about where we have the last few years in the 6-10 draft position. That would mean (1) we sucked, and (2) are draft picks aren't going to get you the best qb available. I can see no alternative. |
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
i'm happy, but we got raped
|
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Can you get raped if you're a willing participant?
|
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
It's rape if you say no before. It's regret if you wished you said no but didn't.
|

if you're not old enough, sure

Anally and without lube. |
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Well we did get taken advantaged of, thats for sure. But, its a good year to be in this situatation. The Redskins can fill a bunch of holes in free agency. If he is a top 5 qb, then it is cheap. If he is a bust then everybody gets fired and the rest of the upper level at Fedex is coming down.
|
Re: Around the NFL: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Are we really talking about lubeless anal rape.

It's still not a great deal, and the question of "yeah, but how are you planning to become a good team THIS time?" remains unanswered.
If Griffin throws on a gold jacket in 2032 and Bradford ends up being the next Rick Mirer, then and only then will people remember the Redskins as bold and the Rams as foolish. |

Captain Deez @50levenhunnit Close Matt Ryan aint for us.... The Falcon's organization needs to realize & do better. Give Matt to the Colts & get RGIII. We need a black man. |
