Re: NFL offseason 2025
It should also be a reminder that the NFL rules benefit the team and players have little to no alternatives. Sure, Garrett can sit out training camp and games, but that in the end will cost him money.
If he can't find a way to a winning team, he may as well get paid.
Great point |

Losing Sweat and Williams is huge - those guys were amazing last year and Carter will have more work to do as a result and I suspect won’t be as effective. That’s a lot of talent to lose. And they haven’t been able to make up for it with any flashy D line FA signings either. I was worried DeMarcus Lawrence was going to end up there but he signed with Seattle. And Garrett stayed put. Good news for us. The Eagles D is weaker today than it was last week. Still formidable but weaker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Eagles also had very few key injuries last season. That cannot continue.

Re: NFL offseason 2025
The Lions withdrew their proposal about reseeding but they will try again.
It makes sense the teams with better records should host playoff games but if you do that, why have divisions. Think that’s why they couldn’t get support this time. You could get rid of divisions. Just have all 16 teams play each other. That would be 15 games and then 2, soon to be 3 vs someone in other conference. I think that would be horrible. That’s too radical and would take away what we have now. Every team plays each other on a regular basis. Change in playoffs will eventually happen. I don’t see owners letting a division winner give up at least one home game. I can see the compromise being reseeding starts in round 2. The weak division winner, gets one home playoff game. If your the team with a better record; you should manhandle that weak division winner and advance. |
