The offense in the first half was stagnant. 91 total yards and 2 first downs total prior to the FG drive. Subjective on whether we still win if we go into the half 0-14 but the offense was struggling.
Both offenses were struggling - 9 punts and two turnovers on downs. Pitt managed to put together that one 14-play 70+ yard drive for a TD, and then had a quick one-play 50 yard score where Fuller and Everett both should have made the tackle.

To be expected losing your #1 RB on his second carry of the game.

Ive found nothing on Gibsons injury so far. RR in his post game last night said he hadnt talked to trainer yet. Doesnt RR normally do a 10:30 am zoom day after game? perhaps thats changed since this wasnt a Sunday 1 pm kickoff.

edit -- he did a 10:30 zoom, heres the youtube link

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

edit - 8:51 min mark, RR is asked about Gibson but he says he intentionally doesnt speak w trainers until after the next day press conf so he doesnt have any info to give.

The edge rush trio of Chase young, Montez Sweat, and Ryan Kerrigan all finished with a grade above 80:

- Ryan Kerrigan: 90.8
- Montez Sweat: 88.8
- Chase Young: 80.7

20 points in the second half against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Outscored them 23-3 in the last 31 minutes.

Third win in the last 18 Monday night games.

2nd time in 81 games that Pitt lost a game after being up by at least 14 points.

Lot of fun stats from the game. RR said he was waiting for a big game to "deploy" the White on Whites.

I want to see CAM SIMS playing as the starter. He really stepped up and helped turn the second half around. This is the second game where he excelled. I want to see him start at WR #2. He’s earned it!

I want to see STEVE SIMS as the backup. He dropped a key pass, as usual. Dude is a bust! He’s sucking up oxygen that Cam Sims could be using.

Kevin Pierre-Louis had a piss poor play that made me yell at my tv. The WFT did a rare blitz on Roethlisburger and Pierre-Louis had a PERFECT UNBLOCKED shot at the Steelers QB. But he missed the tackle completely. WTF, over?? How do you miss a 38-year old 6’5 QB who has loss a step? Kevin had another play for a loss, but that miss was legendary!

Alex Smith led this team to an awesome come from behind victory against an ELITE TEAM in the NFL. However, the first half showed that this team needs to draft a QB with our FIRST draft pick in 2021. We need a young, fast and accurate QB for this team. The age of the immobile, pocket passer-type QB is over. Draft the best QB still left and let ALEX mentor him as he did Mahommes. Running QB just make it so much harder for teams to defend. We need one!

I didn't see the missed sack, but Big Ben has been sacked 0 times in the last 5 games so implying BB should be an easy target to sack, regardless of how clean the shot was, seems unrealistic to me.

Ha...I got mad as well, but shit man, Big Ben has done this for years. His greatest strength has been his pocket awareness and the ability to fight off tacklers while continuing to look downfield and get the ball out. He might have the best pocket awareness of any QB I’ve ever seen play the game. For as big as he it’s fun to watch.
