Yea! So that means we get the win and are now 7-3 right? I mean it would have been a chip in for Hopkins. At the very least give us an asterisk right? |
Re: Texans Postgame
Total BS non call

NFL Shits on the skins, its nothing new. Don't tell me its just a coincidence bs

Re: Texans Postgame
I don't know if there is are statistics that are kept on NFL apologies for bad calls post game but I do feel like the Skins would be up there

Re: Texans Postgame
I can see it know playoff tiebreakers add a new line: most nfl acknowledged blown calls. If you are tied head to head the next one is how many blown calls the nfl acknowledged based on a in game ranking system if it happened in the 4th quarter and whether it was for or against your team

Re: Texans Postgame
This is one of those calls that really, really bugs me in a "woulda shoulda" way. Generally, I am a firm believer that "blame it on the refs" is a BS attitude; play well enough so that it is not in the refs hands. However, there are times ...
For example, when blatant PI is non-called on the next to last play of the game (I think-at most there were two more plays including the failed FG), the refs had just called a ticky-tack foul on an opposing player minutes before - allowing opposing team to be in a position to score, and, the acknowledged blown call almost certainly changed the outcome of the game. Sure, the Skins should have played better, but, given the loss of their starting QB, they showed a lot of heart in not just folding. The specific official responsible for the non-call should be disciplined and fined, and the Referee, as head of the officiating crew should be as well. Game changing sh** needs to be corrected. SIDE RANT: What gets me these days is the uneven enforcement on penalties - particularly for PI & offensive and defensive holding. At this point, I just don't know game to game what is a penalty. ... and I am not just talking about the Skins games. You could be watching two games at the same time and a holding or PI penalty called in one is a no-call in the other. It's ridiculous. SIDE RANT No. 2: I saw a recommendation that defensive should be changed so as not to include an automatic first down. I am behind that 100%. |
Re: Texans Postgame
How about allowing PI to be challenged since it can be such a significant penalty

I have a feeling the NFL does not want judgement calls reviewed. Personal foul calls should be reviewable also, they get too many of those wrong. |
Re: Texans Postgame
EVERY PLAY SHOULD BE CHALLENGABLE!!
A coach gets 2 challenges he should be able to use them however he pleases. Not sure how it would work under 2 minutes. But we got fucked. NFL can take that apology and shove it up their asses. |
Re: Texans Postgame
Games shouldn't come down to one call. Had we had any competent QB/WR play, this game probably wouldn't have come down to those shit calls/non-calls.
