Weeden just became one of my favorite players. That is great. Ill be rooting for them in the AFC
Brandon Weeden sucked. I love when guys that suck and get cut hold a grudge against former teams, like its their fault he was terrible. |

“I’m not the General Manager. I don’t run our personnel department. I’m not in charge of scouting,” Kelly said. “I don’t tell our scouts where to go. … The only difference is I was in control of the 53-man roster and now I’m in control of the 90-man roster. … My job has never changed.” According to Chip a few days ago, he doesnt make any personnel decisions ... Week 16
Don't think there's any chance Kelly will be OC somewhere?
He wont want that. He wants total control. And he can resurrect a big time college team if he wants to, or put one on the map that is already in a big time conference. Just like Spurrier did at SC. |
Re: Week 16
For the most part I think Chip is sharp when it comes to Xs and Os (although I can't understand why he doesn't very the snap count more). Thankfully all Kelly's scheme prowess is undone by the fact that he's a terrible GM and has suspect people skills.
I hope the Eagles keep him right where he is.
Well this just happened... Eagles fire head coach Chip Kelly http://www.thescore.com/news/916548 |

Wouldn't be surprise if Sean McDermott is being talked about in the Eagles front office.

No, ego is too big. |
Re: Week 16
I can't see anyone giving Chip another shot in the pro's any time soon.
He brought some good concepts, but his ego got in the way and alienated just about everyone around him. The only thing that surprised me about this was the timing...I guess Lurie wanted to start the new year off fresh. |

Lurie is pissed that the team he hates (Redskins) eliminated his team. He and Mara are the assholes responsible for our 2 year cap penalty. He got double fucked!! Loving it!! |
Re: Week 16
It's a players league. He thought it was a Kelly's league.
|
Re: Week 16
he won 10 games (each) his first two seasons with ho-hum QBs. he'll get another job. but I doubt he'll ever be given that kind of player personnel power again.

Re: Week 16
So, I think this week we should just run the ball every play, all four downs, and force our offense to learn to get the job done in the running game even when the other team knows it is coming. The difference between getting 3 yards a carry and 5 yards a carry are not that much on any given play, but when you learn to create just 2 yards more room for your running back, all of a sudden you have a running game that needs to be considered.
If we can work this kink out, or even make a modest improvement in this area, it would make a huge difference to our teams chances in the playoffs. |
