Re: Redskins and Vikings agree on McNabb trade (updated: deal is done)
McNabb is holding things up with some petty personal complaints. Apparently, he's concerned that the Vikings were thinking about signing Tyler Thigpen and Donovan feels threatened about it.
He's always been a drama queen.
I'm glad that douche bag is gone. Sure he plays that role for the press and the public, but now you understand why the locker room was 50/50 back in Philly during the whole TO fiasco. He wants people to kiss his ass, but the guy is a overrated clown who's rode Andy's system without ever winning squat except one NFC Championship. He's not clutch, and most likely never will be. What? You aren't groveling at my feet? I'm going to another team that will!! What? You want me to wear a arm band with plays? Pffft.... I"m too cool for that! |

He's always been a drama queen.
Be concerned McNabb. You can stay here as the 3rd stringer or you can go to the Vikes as a starter for a few weeks? Go ahead and hold up your own progress. |

We can't keep him. If he's on the opening day roster, we'd have to pay that huge bonus and pay him 12.5 million this year and the rest of his contract would kick in as well. What we could do is, hold him all during the training camp/pre-season only to release him at the end so he couldn't get any reps/learning with another team. That would really F him over. It's up to him, he can play nice with us, or he can get the stick. |

It just amazes me how much some fans are okay getting nothing from the McNabb fiasco. |

We'll be getting 2 6th rounders for him. It's better than us just releasing him, which is exactly what we would be doing if nobody wanted him. The deal was made and it didn't work out. We were fortunate we got what we did back from him. Nobody was going to give up anything valuable for McNabb. |

True, but no one side has a bargaining chip over the other in this situation. |
Re: Redskins and Vikings agree on McNabb trade (updated: deal is done)
Just heard Kelli Johnson on comcast say deal is done. Mcnabb restructured.

Or at least devour Rodgers and Cutler in the process. McNabb isn't tasty enough, so they'll leave him to the vultures. |
Re: Redskins and Vikings agree on McNabb trade (updated: deal is done)
The Vikes have a better offensive line than we've had for the past two/three seasons, and a running game that is much better the Eagles have ever had. A QB like McNabb was meant to go to a team with a lot of things in place, not a rebuilding team like ours. I don't think they'll be a playoff team b/c of the competition within the division, but there's a possibility that he might do better.
Vikes OL has fallen down quite a bit. Old Man Fav-rah was quite broken playing behind such a "good" OL.

I found this interesting.
Fantasy Football player news, injuries and analysis - Rotoworld.com
The (roughly) 14-hour holdup was contract parameters; McNabb needed to rework his deal and get rid of the $10 million option bonus the Redskins owed him per last November's phony extension. McNabb figures to open camp as the favorite to start for the Vikings, but the team won't wait around if the 34-year-old struggles early. Minnesota's scouting department determined before the draft that Christian Ponder was NFL-ready. It's probably a safe bet that both will start games this year, be it due to ineffectiveness or injury behind an aging offensive line that struggles in pass protection. This is a situation to avoid in fantasy football.
I'd love to see McNugget benched for a rookie....lolol |

I'd rather see him traded for a conditional 5th rounder as supposed two 6ths. It's not like this team is able to find diamonds in the rough later in the draft. |
