i meant for the skins. it's 7mill to ditch lloyd and then it'll be at least 3mill for the severely backloaded CJ contract here, (1mill + SB/years of contract).
7 million dead cap to release Lloyd, but you still have to factor in the 4 mil you wont be paying him.
Lloyd is one of the best WR out there and the only reason he didn't play was because he got injured. He's all better now and not a locker room problem. He always made those clutch catches also.
You have been drinking haven't you?

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G

So the options are a pain in the a$$ WR that gets paid to sit on the bench and a pain in the a$$ WR that plays and produces. If that's the choice then I'd go with CJ. I know it is not that easy. Now, I must say that all of the pain in the a$$ WR (TO, CJ) have delivered in play and numbers. Bring in Chad could be something different...hey I know we're not in the same situation, but last year many people (including Boston homer Bill Simmons) ridiculed a bit the Randy Moss trade. So who knows.

Now he's making enemies of reporters too! Note the end of the article where the Skins are mentioned.

Chad Johnson would be a huge plus for our team. We do not really have a ligit redzone threat from the WR position. He not only makes the team better but will provide more touches for Moss, Cooley, ARE, and will not allow teams to stack eight man fronts for the run game. If we get Johnson, Portis should average over 4.5 yards per carry. I would also add that we could use ARE in a Wes Welker type role. He is quick and has some open field moves and he could be the security blanket to Campell that Welker was for Brady all year long.

He would definately be a huge plus for the team! Who do you think we would have to give up? We are already well over the cap and I am sure that if we get him, he would want an extension? It would be nice to have a QUALITY receiver over 6 foot! Although he is only 6'1.

CJ is starting to go off the deep end. He really needs to reel things back in a bit and cool down.

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G

Yes he is beginning to go alittle over the top, but we need that here in Washington! Alittle confidence, not cockiness. I was so sick of hearing the same robotic answers from Gibbs, staff, and players the last four players!

What Johnson is doing right now is pouting like a 5 year old. Sorry but that's definitely not needed here. He really needs to grow up and handle his business like a professional. What he's doing is inexcusable.

I agree...and what do you think will happen if he comes here and doesn't get near 80 or 90 catches? Same ole chad will show up. No thanks.

Look who his agent is---Drew Rosenhaus! His agent needs to help him and lead him in the right direction. I think Drew's past has shown that he is about as bad as his clients!

I've felt this way about him the last couple years. Maybe there is something personal going on behind the scenes in cincy, but it looks to have all the makings of a TO type regression. He's not at that level now, but his behavior shows signs of him getting worse by the year, just as TO did until he had no more bridges to burn.

IMO, pro bowler or not, we don't need to make a deal for this guy.

Sure, let's bring him in. We haven't had a Michael Westbrook incident since, well...Michael Westbrook was here.

Think I'm overreacting? Johnson shoved around some team employee and "stared him down" a few days ago.

He would be a horrible fit. We play as a team, a very closely-knit team without drama. He plays to promote himself over everyone else on the field. If you think Lloyd was bad, bring this nutjob in.

I had thought about it until I heard his agent was Rosenhaus. No thank you.

Yes, he's talented, but Cincy doesn't seem to be benefiting much from his abilities with all of his distractions. Neither would we.

We have enough good WRs. Moss, Randel El, McCardell can still play, Caldwell can haul in passes with those big eyeballs and 6'5" Mix has had success with Campbell before and looks promising.

Other positions need upgraded far more than WR.

I would take him. Thats 78 or 88 more catches then Lloyd. Plus he has good hands and can catch the ball.

McCardell can still play till his knees give out on him. Old man is good, but then the key word is old. The guy's almost 40, he can't have but so much gas left in the tank.

I feel as if people are a product of their environment and obviously CJ doesn't like his. If that's the case, he needs a move.

TO was a complete headcase (and still is) but is MUCH better now that he's in Dallas. Same goes with Randy Moss.

I think CJ just needs to find a different team (hopefully the Skins) and with a disciplined coach and team, he'll do fine.
