Haskins posted this on his social media and also commented on Dunbars post saying "all of these changes are happening at once"

Whatever that all means. He's very active on Twitter and IG so could be nothing. I'm just bored

Now they need a T, TE, and CB early in the draft, or a sleeper Free agent.
Sure looks like moving down is a good option now

Sorry, sfiok, but these old eyes can't read the small picture you posted. What changes is Haskins talking about?

not yet, let's see what they can get for Dunbar and Trent. Maybe trade Kerrigan if you can get a good CB.... assuming they pick Young

Throw in Nicholson along with Dunbar, maybe Jacksonville will take them. They have a ton of picks and Gruden is there.

Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

Maybe I’m wrong but it seemed like they went all in for Cooper thinking this would suck up a third or more of their cap. I also think that offering offered him$5 mill more than Dallas and that they thought thy had it in the bag. Cooper would make our WR group ELITE - MacLaurin,Cooper and Steve Sims. The WR would cover up for a weak TE crew or TE draft picks that we’re learning t he ropes. BUT THEN COOPER took less money and staying Dallas. Plan A down the drain!

What is plan B? Do they really have one?
Take two Home Grown very good players (Williams and Dunbar) , who had problems with our FU medical staff and Bruce Allen spun contracts with no guaranteed money in the last year and TRADE THEM? For what? Dunbar has the second highest Pff numbers in the NFL. We might get a second or third rounder for him. The jets have only offered 2 x third rounder for a 7times Pro Bowler.

We have a lot to accomplish in the draft:
1. Replace our best Offensive Lineman
2. Replace out best CB
3. Replace Two TE end slots from a very shallow TE draft pool. The best TE my go in the first and second round of the draft - where we currently have no picks.

I know Kyle Smith has a great 2019 draft. Depending on him to do it again is not a great strategy, especially when so many low picks end up being camp bodies, ST fillers and third string backups before they are let go at the end of their rookie season. Depending on Kyle to get real stars and starters out of fourth, fifth and UDFA two years in a row is not reasonable. I hope he has another miracle draft, but don’t count on it.

What is our real plan b?

I thought this was a pretty good breakdown of the moves to date, and the methodology behind them...still more work to do, but it does seem like a plan is in place, rather than simply plugging holes willy nilly...

And the Skins just traded a 5th round pick for Kyle Allen QB from Carolina. More of RR’s boys.

I mean system wise, i guess it makes sense to have someone familiar in the building to help Haskins - or god forbid supplant him as starter *facepalm thinking this was the reason for the move*

I don’t disagree. I think it’s a good move. I’d rather spend a 5th on him as opposed to a rookie QB. Like you said, atleast he knows the system and can help Haskins pick it up. He also was good in relief for a few games in Carolina last year so he is a capable backup, just not starter material like some were thinking when he won a few games.

I'm told the #Redskins have agreed to trade CB Quinton Dunbar to the #Seahawks, per source.

Comp update: Seahawks are sending Washington a 5th-round pick in exchange for CB Quinton Dunbar, per source.

So Redskins trade a 5 for QB Kyle Allen, get back a 5 for Dunbar.

Check that it's a 5th... So you basically traded Dunbar a legit #1 CB for Kyle Fucking Allen lmao!!

If we had made him play out his contract we would have had a 4th rd comoensatory pick, minimum.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

They might as fucking well cut Trent.. If a young #1 CB gets a 5th, what is an old injury prone LT getting?

I don’t care if it’s the 1st pick in the 5th. A quality starting CB is worth more. We got fleeced. Period.

The Seahawks added Quinton Dunbar and Quandre Diggs to their secondary for 2020 fifth and seventh-round picks, and a 2021 seventh, over the past six months.

That's how you utilize capital.
It is going to take a loooong time to rebuild this team if this is the plan
Yep so lets get this right..

QB = Haskins (A guy with potential but many reports say he's not ready) Alex Smith who has 1 leg left and Kyle Allen

RB = Old but serviceable Peterson , Injury prone Guice and JD MCKISSIC.

WR = Terry (stud) , Sims and Harmon... Nothing special

TE = NOBODY

OL = No LT at all (Hopefully old ass Penn comes back)

DL = Strength of the team

LBs = Average

DB's = No number 1 CB , Fuller who is a slot and an Expensive ass Safety that sucked last yr..

Looks amazing

And that's what you need to do if you want to change the culture and the team.

What do you want?

- Dunny bitching about his contract and probably getting hurt next offseason?

- Paying for a pricey free agent for what?

Yeah the roster sucks, but hey, this is the mess that Bruce left. I'd rather have players that want to be here and build a new culture, rather than keep making the same mistakes from before.

I can't argue that I just wish the team got more for their players. Fuller / Smith was looking good until he snapped his leg.. Other than that we never win trades

How about them trying to sign Cooper for $25m?

Idk about you but I'm pretty happy he stayed in Dallas. 25/mil is too much for a WR who's always had drop issues.

EdmundDorf 03-23-2020 07:11 PM

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

I think $20m was too much for him to be honest, but that they tried to sign one player for $25m makes this seem like they have no coherent plan. Either you are trying to rebuild the culture and working to 2021/22 or you are spending big to win in 2020,

I don't have a problem with the team spending money on a 26 year old player in their prime and clearly the best offensive free agent.

But some fans wanted us to trade for Darius Slay (older player, no draft capital to get that type of player), trade for Diggs (young player, yes, but no trade capital to get him), or get Emmanuel Sanders (older somewhat expensive player).

It sounds like people want to win the offseason again.

He wants to win now can't blame him. i don't think we made an offer to him anyway. We as fans wanted him to mentor the young group of Wr's we currently have.

Emmanuel Sanders wants to win now, he's wasn't coming to a rebuilding team.
