Monte committing assault sucks but I'm not going to cut him because of this. I'd let the NFL's conduct policy do it's thing, let him serve his suspension, and come back to us.

Unless Troy Apke suddenly makes the leap next year. LOL that's a good one.

I'm more concerned about Bruce Allen dipping down into Jay Gruden's world and trying to have input into playing time. That shit reeks of desperation.

Gruden's response was essentially that because they traded for Ha Ha that he was playing.

Very vague, bizarre answer but makes total sense in this context.

Also, a week ago Andy Pollin said there was real heat between Allen and Gruden. Also, makes sense.

If Allen stays I’ve lost all faith in Snyder ..I don’t have any to begin with😀...so Gruden is being told who to play?? What other head coach would want to work for this crap show...🤮

The thing w/ Bruce is I'm afraid if he stays on then he'll make yet another loser trade, possibly to move up in the draft to take a QB.

Russell could be making that shit up in order to prop up Schaffer and make Bruce look bad.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

I'm willing to concede that keeping Gruden is ok as long as Allen goes. Is Club Jay real and a good reason to fire Jay? Yes. However, if Alex Smith doesn't return next year and we are screwed by his cap hit I'm ok with dumping Allen anyways since the season will most likely be unspectacular with another journeyman qb. Let a new exec focus on building up everything but the qb and wait a year for a better opportunity to bring in a new qb with a stronger team around him.

Also idk a damn thing about Schaffer as a football man but I consider him among the best in the contract negotiation field. If he took over as team prez and left the football scouting to the football ops I'd be fine with that.

Russell doesn't need to make Bruce look bad, Bruce can do that all on his own.

58-82-1. Lower winning percentage than supreme douchebag Vinny Cerrato.

McNabb, RG3, Cousins (contract failure), Alex Smith

Shanahan, Gruden

All the personnel failures of the last 8 years.

I don't even need to hear rumors of Allen getting involved with playing time (which he should have nothing to do with).

Even if true I am fine with that Dan has been known to crumble to media pressure. He used to be fire trigger happy and now he won't fire anyone when clear change is needed.

Can someone please explain to be how this team decides to waive a young RB that has shows potential this year. I know we have been RB heavy on the roster and have injuries piling up so somebody has to go. What I don’t understand is we had Bibbs listed as #3 on the depth chart and Marshall at 4. The team had to know that running backs were in need everywhere. I don’t care if you wanted to move him down to the practice team or not. We just gave up young talent for nothing. The packers got a steal.

Because Jay Gruden likes Byron Marshall more than he liked Kapri Bibbs....and his devotion to Rob Kelly bothers me because Kelly is not only untalented but injury prone too( 2 years straight on IR)...just like he liked Trey Quinn more than he liked Simmie Cobbs....so the answer to your question is Jay Gruden is an imbecile when it comes to choosing the best talent for his team....it all depends on who he likes, not on who is more worthy.

I definitely want Bruce gone, but I don't believe a damn thing Chris Russell has to say. I'm still waiting for him to follow through with his promise, when he said he would quit his job if the Redskins acquired DJax a few years ago.

Byron Marshall is definitely better than Kapri Bibbs so everyone settle down. He's just as quick with more size.

Where is the production to prove he's better than Bibbs? Keeping the "intriguing skill set" of Marshall over the production of Bibbs (considering how little he has played) bothers me.

Not a huge fan of his, reminds me of a Josh Allen type. Big arm but not accurate.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

There is no point of firing Gruden if Allen is still around. Allen going, has to be the 1st domino of any successful chain of positive changes.

I'd prefer for both to be gone, would be almost as happy if just Allen is gone, and absolutely fucking livid if Allen stays and only Jay is fired.

If Allens gone ok but jay has had 5 years to call his shots, make roster moves, choose coordinators, he can't do it at this level. Now that said - you have to replace him with a coach who has a fire in him and have Allen know his place in the scheme of things, which is to basically mollify DS and keep him from over inserting himself in the player - coach dynamic.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

If we are looking at the upcoming draft, forget Drew Lock and focus upon Dewayne Haskins from Ohio State. Haskins truly has a golden arm. Smooth accurate thower and excellent character both on and off the field. I do not know if Haskins will still be on the board when the Skins get to announce their pick. But if he is there, Haskins will solve a problem that has existed in DC for 25 years. He is the real deal.

The Giants pick before us again and this time they might draft a QB....the Redskins need a big play WR...a quarterback while could be a pressing need can wait until the 2nd round...Daniel Jones( Duke) or Brett Rypien( Boise St. & Mark's nephew) can also be a steal in the 2nd or 3rd round....

I'm not opposed to drafting Lock or Haskins if either of them are available when we pick in the 1st round....but LG or WR is more pressing....and a quality QB can be drafted afterwards....

Of course the last time we went for a big play receiver we got ------Doctson. But maybe that is why we still need one. I see your point. WR is a position of need. But so is QB.

Scot McCloughan thought Doctson was the best player available when we picked.....it's safe to say he missed on Doctson....I would rather had Vernon Butler or Artie Burns....

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

4 sacks in 15 games for an edge rusher is brutal.
Tied for 92 in the league and hasn't missed any playing time.

He isn't better than Kerrigan, Ionnidis, Payne, or Allen.
We need increased pressure so we need to look at his roster spot and get someone who can contribute.

From what’s likely from beat reporters and insiders...manusky will be gone. I think that’s driven a bit with who might be available.

I think my top 3 d coordinators

1 Rex Ryan
2 Greg Williams
3. Todd Bowles

Stop getting my hopes up for a new d-coordinator. I haven't seen anything to indicate they are going to make any changes this offseason, including Bruce.

I'd love G.Will back btw but Cleveland is really going to make a tough decision this offseason, G.Will has them playing better than any coach in their history. If I'm Cleveland I stick with him, he's more than earned it.

I'd also take Rex but isn't he out of the game since the Jets firing? He might be enjoying his retirement/his wife's toes too much to get back in the game.

And finally, since all indications point to Gruden coming back, I think he should hire another legit o-coordinator. I don't think he's smart enough to handle playcalling and HC responsibilities.
