Lol, f that. I just made those because I couldn't believe those games weren't available. If I do another one it'll be the Oklahoma State game as that seems to have been his worse game.

See that's the kind of slippery talk that takes us down the slippery slope of budget slippage.

Don't make me get Kriss Kross. They will make you jump jump.

Looks like Peyton Manning is getting better. Judging by him wearing that Colts helmet, he's going to take that pay cut and still be their quarterback. Remember, Jim Irsay said that whether Manning plays for Indianapolis or not at this point going forward is strictly up to Manning.

Not doubting there's some rumblings he stays with Indy, Schefter was pitching that yesterday on ESPN, but if Manning is healthy then there's no reason for him to take a pay cut.

There's still the issue that he has with a #1 pick sitting behind him and I just don't see Indy passing on Luck.

skinsfaninok 03-03-2012 07:37 AM

Or maybe he's wearing a colts helmet because he's a colt? Lol you guys think to far into things

Oh no please don't do that! Wouldn't want a video of my boy Weeden showing up RGIII. Besides everyone would simply ignor it or write it off as just a bad day for him.....in a bowl game. Or they will blame the coaching, but no way will Weeden get his props.

The only way I see him staying in Indy is with a pay cut, and Luck wants to start day one, some we might have another elway or Eli saying I don't want to play there.

I don't think he is a head case like that. If I was Andrew Luck playing behind some middle of the road QB for the first year or half a year, then I would be mad. But I don't think I would b!t@h about learning behind Peyton Manning for awhile.

Lets all pray that Manning is a free agent and does not sign with the Colts. If he does not get released it will make it that much harder to get RG3. And he is my back up plan.

I was thinking the same thing.. What else was he supposed to wear? If he was in Duke garb would the rumor be that he wanted to go back to college and finally win a NCAA championship?

skinsfaninok 03-03-2012 10:32 AM

I really don't think we are getting griff, the browns will offer those two 1st and we just won't be able to match it so yes Manning is def my first option at QB

It all depends what the rams want, they may think we might have a better 1st round pick next than 22nd.

FWIW

@AdamSchefter
Adam Schefter
Colts teammates Dallas Clark and Austin Collie, and former teammate Brandon Stokley, have worked out in Durham, NC with Peyton Manning.

Hey QB's have bad games, it's a fact of life. Mel Kiper was talking the other day about how when he evaluated Big Ben how he fixated on the Iowa game where Ben struggled and how over the years he realized that focusing on that one bad game isn't much different then focusing on those one or two breakout games.

Also keep in mind that if Oklahoma State is the worse game you got for RG3 it's not much. Had a TD:Turnover ratio of (2:3), threw for 400+ yards, and completed 66% of his passes. I can live with that.

I'm going to be furious if we have to give up a major pick for something that happened 5 years ago with a guy who isn't here.

That pick Could hurt us in terms of getting Griffin.

I would imagine it will take longer now for a trade to go through, teams in the running will want to wait and see how FA shakes out.

If MIA gets Manning and CLE gets Flynn, why would we want to trade the farm for RG3 at 2?

Or if we get Manning etc.
Incorrect. Locker was thought, by analysts and commentators, to be #1 pick in the 2010 draft before deciding to stay in school. By the 2011 draft his stock had fallen due to a bad completion percentage and some game film (like Nebraska). The Newton vs. Gabbert did go on....but Cam was a much better prospect (albeit with an appreciable amount of red flags).
You're right, they thought Locker would be number one due to the injury history of Sam Bradford.

This could really spark a good debate. I still think the NFL is just trying to weed out the redskins talent. It's high time we call them out. They should be stoned!

Re: QB Combo Possibilities: Which Do You Want (QB Rumors: Verse 10)

You know I watch Brandon Weeden, Kirk Cousins, Tannehill, etc and I think okay well maybe there isn't such a big difference between them and Griffin. Then I go back and watch Griffin and I realize that it's not even close.

I mean Cousins is fun to watch because he's mostly working under center with a lot of two tight end sets and single back formations and you feel like you're seeing what he'll look like t the next level.

You watch Weeden and you see a lot of nice intermediate throws and some good stuff deep.

You watch Tannehill and you feel comfortable with how far he's progressed in such a short period of time, in a pro style offense no less.

However you go back to Griffin and you see him constantly under attack. Running for his life half the time and you realize that thats what it's going to be like in the NFL for any of these QB's. I'm watching Brandon Weeden and I see him standing tall in the pocket for 5 or 6 seconds easy. Cousins has a few of those games to, as does Tannehill but from what I see few of them were pressured more then Griffin.

Then theres the deep ball and you see the ease in which he throws it and how he gets on target where only his reciever can get it and you realize that you're trying to compare a luxury high end car to an economy car. I mean not only does he avoid pressure and buy time but by buying that time he gives the recievers time to get open down field.

I'm sorry I want to believe that the drop off from Griffin to the other three guys we're looking as is minimal, I really want to believe but the fact is it's not. Griffin made more big plays while under pressure then any of the other guys did in the videos I've watched on them.

I hope we've already made a plan to have him at Redskins Park at 8 AM on the 9th. It only takes one team to check his health and sign him and then he's off the market.
