Re: What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay on them team ?
Gruden didn’t play his starters at WR in the first pre-season game:
Richardson Doctson McLaurin At least Gruden is letting one rookie rise up. Davis has had a very good camp and had an excellent first PS game. If he continues to have this level of PS why wouldn’t he move into Doctson’s spot? Same thing with Cam Sims. Cam is better than Doctson. Harmon is the #6 WR for the team. I just don’t see the Gruden love with Doctson. If he has a great season he’s going to another team. If he has his normal season, he won’t be re-signed. There are younger, bigger, cheaper, faster and hungrier WR on the team NOW. They should be moved up over Doctson. As George Allen used to say: the future is now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When did McLaurin become the starter over Quinn? Quinn is the only WR on the team who has been identified by the HC and WR Coach as a lock at his position, the slot. Of course you're correct in pointing out the futility of starting Doctson but what has Davis done to deserve that spot? He caught a TD when wide open because of a blown assignment in the first preseason game. That's it. McLaurin should claim a starting role when Doctson fails and is either benched or cut (or has a boo-boo) or when Richardson is broken in half by a DB. JG says McLaurin is learning all three positions, so he should become a key reserve. I think Cam Simms is a very exciting player who should get more playing time as the season goes on and he continues to improve his craft. |

I think I heard Chris Russell say driving in this morning that Doctson liked the Sua instagram post about the medical shit.
Both were completely awful draft picks by the drunk |

Re: What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay on them team ?
McLaurin has had a tremendous training camp by all accounts. He was held out of the PS game #1 like all the other starters ( as were Richardson and Doctson). He’s in the top 3 slots at WR right now.
Quinn was “penciled in” at slot by Gruden early in TC. He’s had a very good camp and caught one pass in the first game. Cam Sims has had an excellent camp and caught one pass. Harmon also has done well for a rookie. Davis caught a broken play TD and couple other passes, as well a recovering from a bad injury. Very good TC. Kidsy caught the most passes in game one. Point being that the WR group is VERY much improved over last year. Doctson will not be able to sit and under-produce as usual for him. He’s getting way too much pressure from below in TC and in the PS games. I think he gets passed up in the next few weeks and is let go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Unless we keep 7 WRs it's going to be tough for Doctson to make the cut. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is from redskins.com dated August 1, 2019: Quinn already has the slot receiver spot "pretty much locked down," head coach Jay Gruden told reporters Tuesday. "When it's time to catch the ball, he's going to make the play and get separation," Gruden said of Quinn. "I think he has shown that ability the time that we've had him here." Is that enough for me to conclude that Quinn has "locked down" the slot job? |

Yeah Harmon should make it as well, so Doc is probably out

It could happen but highly doubtful, the skins can't pick WRs in the 1st round for shit |
Re: What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay with on them team ?
I stuck up for Doctson long enough. Sometimes you just gotta cut a man loose.
Give me: Starters: McLaurin, Quinn, Richardson Backups: Sims, Harmon, Davis |

You think that is bad, look at our last 10 years of second round picks! |

Re: What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay with on them team ?
They should have just cut Doc after he liked Cravens' comments on Trent. Enough already. Cut your losses and admit he's a bust.
