Re: Brian LaFemina Out Less Than 1 Year In
I'm sorry but could those of you who went to FedEx field detail why they think it's such a bad stadium?
A part from traffic and parking prices? I took the subway to go there, thought it was super easy, and while I'm aware my game day experience was significantly enhanced by a huge luck factor, I thought the stadium was well designed, fans are incredibly close to the field... I thought it was a really good stadium... what am I missing ? Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk
1. The amnities that surround the stadium are lacking. Walk ability from hotels and restaurants is next to impossible. 2. Price for food is hefty compared to many other stadiums. 3. The turf manager might be the worst manager in the Redskins system. 4. It consistently ranks near bottom in the league for fan experience. Considering the venue attracts fans from other teams and they are comparing their experience vs their home stadium experience it should be taken into consideration. |
Re: Brian LaFemina Out Less Than 1 Year In
The best thing for everyone would be to move Allen out of the building and give him a high end office in DC and treat him as a consultant/lobbyist for the stadium deal. Bring in a "football guy" at GM or promote Kyle Smith or Eric Schaffer to GM. Let the new GM decide Gruden's fate after 2019 unless an elite head coach is available and wants the job. But getting Allen out of the building is key. In fact, I'd formally make him a consultant and tie his compensation to getting the stadium deal done.
My thoughts exactly, with a preference towards promoting Kyle smith. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Here's my proposed structure... promote Schaffer to GM, promote Smith to VP of personnel/asst GM or whatever the F you want to call it, and Doug to team President. Re-assign Bruce to stadium liaison or some shit. Just get Bruce the F out of personnel for good please.

You can't just move Bruce to the "business" side. That's never going to work because no doubt he'll have influence on decisions, or call the shots from behind the curtain. He's got to go. Period. |

What about the coaching staff? If you could do anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If Jay stays he HAS to get a GOOD play caller, and I’d promote Tomsula to DC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I agree Bruce involved with anything for the future makes me nervous. The best thing would be to trade him to the raiders for one of their 70 first round draft picks they have over the next two years. |

Agree, Bruce needs to be on the street. If Snyder can drop him off somewhere in Yemen, that would be preferable. |

Bruce is too crucial to the stadium deal - he’s irreplaceable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guess Snyder is putting the stadium before winning, and the fan base. Ya know, the people he’ll need to fill those seats. How about he focuses on winning a FUCKING playoff game. He’s selling a product, and the following of that product is eroding. Quickly. He’s obviously not putting the priority of bringing the fans back and truly improving the brand FIRST. This season will be the 15 season in Dan’s 20 years that the Redskins don’t make the playoffs. The Redskins haven’t won more than 11 games in a season since 1991. Entering their final home game of the season, on Sunday against the Eagles, Washington averaged fewer than 61,000 fans, 27th in the N.F.L. FedEx Field has been only 74 percent full this season, the lowest percentage in the league. Fans aren’t particularly motivated to watch at home, either: The team’s local television rating ranks 22nd in the league. “The fan base is just worn down, frustrated, completely fed up with the front office,” said Eric Bickel, a longtime fan and host of the “Sports Junkies” morning radio show in the area. “This was once a proud, heritage-filled franchise. There is a large percentage of the population here that has no experience with that.” So he can keep Bruce, but the consequences will only grow worse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As far as the fan base wanting Bruce’s he’s on a Spike, it’s never a good decision to cave into the mob. Snyder needs to make decisions that are best for both the team and the stadium deal. Letting Bruce go completely is a bad idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
