I believe the Alex Smith Wash is getting now is better than the Donovan McNabb they got in 2010. That being said Smith is at best a lateral movement from Cousins. Hopefully the offense won't regress?

Get a solid LG and stud RB, and it will be better.

I just wanted to throw this out there: assuming Kirk would have signed the contract he got in Minnesota here had the Skins made the exact same offer (which I don't think is true, but for the sake of argument), the Skins [B]saved, on their cap space[/B]:

If you want to say that Smith's numbers might not match his best season on record, and thus he has less success, ok. I don't think that's right but sure he might throw an extra pick or two (or 5 ?) and throw for 20yards per game.

The first pick in the draft line though is pretty whacko. (Although I am sure some people on here will say we will only win 4 games this year).

Even with being completely decimated by injuries we were 7-9, so thinking we’ll fall off the cliff and get the #1 pick is odd thinking on his part. Wish he elaborated on that.
