Re: Favre a free agent
I believe it's Texas that only has steers and queers. Ask Romo. Favre isn't out of the picture yet.

I sure hope it is. All Favre did today was reaffirm his retirement decision, and yet the amount of press is still nauseating. I swear, he could fart in the wrong direction and he would still get some sort of special coverage. I'm sure we'll get doused with Favre all over again come July. At this point he doesn't want to deal with OTA's and the other offseason stuff. He'll probably show up for training camp with the Vikings and further tarnish his legacy to play one more season out of spite for Ted Thompson. End rant. |

LOL...I am assuming you got my movie referrence?
In Hattiesburg we have untouched, uncrowded nature and glorious weather almost year round. Don't knock it until you've tried it!
I've been to a ton of places, I don't think I've been there. Been to many places in MS, but not there. Uncrowded nature sounds good right about now. |

LOL...yeah it is, but it works on so many places...besides, Hattiesburg isn't that far from Texas anyway. :D |

I'm not from here so I'm not a homer, and people from other MS towns say the same thing: The best place in MS to live is Hattiesburg. Biloxi is ok, Oxford has its charms, but the most cultured place, with the best music, is Hattiesburg. |

That would make my comment that much more funny! ;) I'll have to stop there in my travels in the future. |

Re: Favre a free agent
Has there been a beloved athlete in recent memory to do more to completely turn people against him in such a short time? Barring your Vick's and cheating baseball players of course. As someone who was way ahead of his time in Favre hatin' I'm pretty amazed at how tired people have gotten of him.

I agree I suppose. The fact is that I've lived many different places since I moved from VA. I ended up in Hattiesburg because of a sweet job opportunity. |

You are correct. Imagine what the Green Bay faithful have been saying about this Favre-to-Vikes stuff. Many of them, who loved him for years, must be screaming "Traitor!" |
