Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
Other, The Steve Spurrier Experiment was the worst which included Rob Johnson and Danny Wuerrful.
Yeah but remember how good Ramsey looked in game one at home vs. the Cards? Oh the hopes and dreams for Suppier quickly turned into nightmares. That's when we got rid of Stephen Davis for TRUNG "falls over a blade of grass" Candidate???? |
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
George AT LEAST had one or two good games when Johnson was hurt. Remember the STL game on Mon. night?
Jeff George's record as a starter: 1-7. I guess that STL game was THE good game he had (24-34/269/3/1). George's career stats as a Redskin: 136-236 (57.6%), 1557 yds, 7 TDs, 9 INTs, 5 fumbles Plenty of bad acquisitions, George is just one of them. |
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
I appologize if this was already mentioned...I just couldn't go through 8 pages of the same people. My pick was not presented Michael Westbrook. We draft him 1st round, He's injured, He's got the stomach flu, He's injured, He ran a few PR and never did well as a player. We get rid of him and all he was to GB was a glorified PR.
Other then that I would suggest Ducket. I still believe the only reason we took him was to keep the other NFC east teams from getting him. What a waist of a 4 round pick. Great RB never used. |

He was a bust but he did have a good year in 1999. |
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
I went with Ducket, despite the big salaries for most of those other players. There's a little angry fan in the back of my head that reminds me, 3rd round pick!? wtf?!

My first nomination for busts that belong in the "other" category: Rod Gardner? |

Yet we gave up 2 picks for Lloyd and paid him more, so why does that not upset you? |
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
It's certainly a valid point. And honestly i was thinking that at the time, we needed Brandon more. imo. What did we give up for Brandon again?
|
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
3rd and a 4th.
|
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
jesus christ, im ignorant and angry. take my vote back.

Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
I have been shown the light. Lloyd it is. Atleast Ducket was quiet and produced. No matter how minimal it was. Lloyd....2 picks....what 2 catches......his horrible rap. He wins hands down.
|
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
I think cakes on the junkies summed it up nicely....Brandon Lloyd made roughly 3 million dollars a catch last year.

Plus he's messing up our salary cap for 09. Plus we didn't give any draft picks for George. Lloyd is the clear cut winner. But George is just a total dick. I remember him and Marty yelling at each other on the sidelines and Marty cutting him the next day. Classic. |
Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
I'm a little late to this party, but I've got this other life that allows me to pay the bills. I'll say Neon Deion was the worst IMO. I know you've disagreed w/ me in the past about this Matty, and I don't have the time to look up each and every stat (see above comment re: "other life"), but I just can't recall him doing anything of note...except stealing $8 mil from the Redskins for one lousy year.
