Oh nooooooes! :spank: |
Re: Lavar In 2008
I still don't get why the redskins treated lavar so badly. He went to pro bowls when he was on this team and was probably your only quality LB until Fletcher came this year.

I think a lot of people around here would argue that 53 has played better, more consistent football than Lavar. Lavar had all the talent in the world and was fearless, but it never translated into being a consistently dominant player on the field. I said Marcus Washington because you said we did not have a solid LB before London Fletcher signed here last year. Marcus Washington is my rebuttal to that statement. Antonio Pierce was another solid LB when he was here. He flourished the first year under GWilliams's system, but was let walk after just a year. |

Lavar & agents signed a contract, then said it was short $6.5 mil. It's well know that Synder hates his agents, the Poston Brothers, who btw, one was suspended by the nflpa last year. From there it was all downhill. While I loved Lavar here, please don't buy the hype that he was a great player. He was a great athlete, big difference. For more info, there's a couple books worth of Lavar threads here. |

Apparently not. Patrick Ramsey, LaVar and the need for a GM - Welcome to the Warpath offseason. I need a piece of pie and the Answer to the Question that is the Answer to the supposition that is the theory that questions Question 3. |

Quality LB's since/during LeVar: Pierce Marshall McIntosh Washington It pains me to admit it, but Piece was nasty under Williams' system; Arrington lost his starting job to Lemar Marshall, McIntosh is starting to grow and misses tackles far less than Arrington did, and Marcus Washington has been a steady force. Yes, Arrington could turn a game around with a single hit, but if he had any idea what his assignment was on half the plays it would be a surprise, and that was a far greater detriment than his hitting ability was an asset. The point is, he is far from our only quality LB since he left. During his last season here, and in the years since, the Skins' linebacking corp has been, for the most part, tough, talented, and dependable. Arrington was only talented. |
