Another coach jumping ship. Kirk Olivadotti meeting with Packers for SAME position
Article says other coaches are trying to leave, but they’ve been blocked from talking to other teams. Literally no one wants to coach here. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hogshaven.com/platform/amp/2019/1/16/18184033/redskins-coaching-news-kirk-olivadotti-given-permission-to-interview-for-same-job-with-packers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If, as reported, Manusky was asking Gruden to back him up in replacing Olivadotti and Torian Gray, it might be that Gruden has asked him to see what options he has. Makes sense and I have no issue with it if it was handled well internally. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
The funny part about this is that even if they had replaced Manusky it wouldn’t fix a thing. The problems with this organization are NOT Manusky.
But, why not fire Manusky and promote Tomsula? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
So now we are in a position where we either tank or draft a QB... who would come to a team with a coach who is going to be fired and doesn't have the time to groom him. Gruden should have been fired so this process could speed up. Even now, I would be fine with him getting fired. I know a lot of hot coaches are off the market, but let the process start. There are pieces. We were 6-3. A new coach could've brought some much needed hope.
And I don't need to pile on the SOB Bruce Allen, but I will anyway. He has to have pics if Snyder with a farm animal. It's the only logical conclusion. |

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
On McVay, I don't understand what the Redskins were supposed to do there. Were they going to fire Gruden and hire a 30 year old? The fan base would have went ape shit. Most of you hated his playcalling anyway. The fact is McVay walked into a great position with a overall #1 pick, and a true stud 3 down back.
From a 2011 article by Kevin Cowherd:
"It was former Orioles GM Syd Thrift who famously observed of all the talented free agents who spurned the club more than a decade ago: 'It's like we're offering Confederate money.'" I've long thought that Dan Snyder is a lot like Peter Angelos in the way he ineptly runs his organization oblivious to the perceptions of the outside world. Now, he has finally sunk to the same level as Angelos where good people won't even accept big money to work for him.
Syd was a huge part of the problem in early 2000s. Once Angelos brought in McPhail in 2007 and stayed relatively away the Orioles began to be competitive. I actually hope that Snyder could learn from that hire good ball people and let them make good decisions. Side note: I am very excited about the new O's GM but I know it will be at least 3 years before they start being competitive again. |

Who said Tomsula is any better anyway? lol. Basically the Redskins kicked Manusky in the balls. They openly had people in for his job. No one wanted to come work here and now they had to go back to Manusky. It's a shitty way to do business in the NFL. Other coaches see this, coaches talk. The Redskins are just screwing themselves and are taking yet another PR hit. It's one of the reasons we're one of the bottom feeders in the NFL when it comes to quality franchises. It wasn't like this when the Cooke's ran the team. |

I have an Arapaho Redskin Story! There is a Town Square in Santa Fe, NM that Native Americans setup a little shop on the ground to sell jewelry to tourists. It's mostly handmade sterling silver and turquoise womens jewelry. Image for reference. One vendor had on nothing but Redskins gear including Redskins shoes and socks! I asked him about it and he said there are a lot of Skins fans on the reservations and typically anyone that doesn't want to cheer for the Broncos or Cowboys will end up a Redskins fan, poor bastards. He said he was 100% Arapaho but lived in Pecos with his wife who was 100% Pecos Indian. I ended up with a pair of overpriced sterling silver earrings for the old lady and his business card just in case Dan needs me to find some Indians to support the team. |
