49ers are in the mix. Mort is going to report it soon, if he hasn't yet
Have they been interested all along or are they just proclaiming their interest now? That'll make it interesting.

of all the teams rumored to have been interested in manning, the 49ers are the best fit in every way i can think of. instant NFC superbowl favorites if they sign him.

I don't think they were ever not interested

That's why he must not go there. Come on, Denver!

A lot rides on that statement like injuries, who they lose to FA, and then there is how well PM plays (health wise). The only knock I can see for the 49ers is they are in the NFC and that might mean him playing against his brother trying to get into the SB. I was never a PM will not sign with an NFC team guy but between all the teams I will say I think Denver has a better chance at getting him because they are AFC, and made the playoffs.

Damn I was hoping the 49ers were trying to to get into the Rex Grossman sweepstakes.

I was hoping they wanted to trade their 1st for Beck.

That's kinda of low really. $12mil/year salary??

Scheft's tweet pretty much solidifies what you said earlier about PM telling the Phins/Cards...no dice.

ESPN's Suzy Kolber reports Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb will receive his $7 million roster bonus, according to team source.

That's gotta be bittersweet for Kolb. Yay for the bonus, boo for trying to replace me.

Ah. Well they certainly did a good job of keeping their interest off the radar. From a Redskins standpoint, Peyton joining the NFC would be a bad thing. I hope he sticks with Denver.

The 60 million was a mistake

John Elway ‏ @johnelway

We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C. He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there.

Watching him throw today was the next step in this important process for our team and Peyton. It was a productive visit and went well.

So much for that endorsement Timmy!!

Well before I think they were reporting $90 million as well. Just that they had $60 plus $30 bonus
