Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Trumps tax breaks and reckless spending is why we need to raise the damn debt ceiling. He would have bankrupt the damn country in four more years like he did with his own money countless times. Gotta pay your debt , but the man was a self proclaimed “lover of debt”. Cus it isn’t his money. Come on man. This is such hypocrisy from the right it is grotesque.

The Republicans are either liars or cowards when it comes to the national debt. Either liars and don't give a shit about it and will keep raising it, while only pretending to make an issue of it when they aren't in charge. Or pathetic fucking cowards that won't stand up and fight and say we can't keep raising the debt and in-fact need to reduce it. And it would be a fight, because this would mean government would actually have to budget, reduce spending, etc. Not really sure which one is worse. The party has failed America. Our national debt is $28.43 trillion. That is 28,430,000,000,000. It's so many zeroes I had to Google how to even put it in actual number form. It's almost like it's so big most people just don't bother caring about it, like it's no big deal. This should be a big fucking deal to every American, no matter how you vote. |

Trump did spend way too much money. This is why I finally decided to re-register. I was hoping someone with a business side would be better. In hindsight, Mr. Bankruptcy was never going to reduce the debt. I don't recall Trump or republicans every talking about a budget or the debt while he was president, well before COVID was ever a thing. Of course Biden is going to spend even more, Obama spent tons, Bush Jr. spent tons, etc. It's easy spending other people's money. Hell, even Reagan greatly expanded the national debt. |

From the Washington Post today. Schumer could raise it without any GOP help Why doesn’t he?[/QUOTE] Really? Read your own article. Or my previous post. Because you and the rest of the right will turn around and call them reckless- it would be political suicide. This is an instance where there needs to be bipartisanship. Like there was when Trump kept doing it. The crazy thing is he is the reason we need to do it now. And suddenly Mitch is hiding in the bushes. I know you see what is going on here Chico. |
Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Listen to SD if not me Chico. He is actually being real about this issue. U, as a Trumper, will just default to “oh sure blame Trump” as if he has nothing to do with the position we are in. You’re killing me and im way too busy to play this game with you right now. As usual Trump gets us into a jam and you and Mitch cheer for him, now Biden has to fix it and u and Mitch are hiding in the bushes playing amnesia games.

Trump on the other hand will take zero responsibility and since he is holding the GOP hostage and his cult is incapable of placing fault with him it becomes a partisan and political knot. That to me is what is so frustrating. I could live with the old school back n forth while everyone was doing the same thing. I cannot live with the deep rooted hypocrisy and the fuckin spell that Trump has over people like Chico who either do not understand what is going on or dont care as long as their guy isn’t held accountable. It is infuriating. |

Not by the rules, but by way of not turning it into a political suicide for the ones who have to do it (because of Trumps reckless spending). I know you understand that. Ok now im busy. |

Yeah I read it and I don’t think u know why wouldn’t Schumer simply push the gop and raise it himself. I think u are missing a nuisance within it procedurally. Schumer needs the gop to raise it so they can ram thru a massive socialist spending bill which no gop member would support. It’s about limits… Schumer can raise the debt limit himself with any GOP support |
