Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
If you want to be successful as an organization, you must identify your guys and extend them during the season or in camp before their contract year.
Players who qualify coming up: Chase Roullier Dustin Hopkins Fabian Moreau Ryan Anderson Jonathan Allen and Rueben Foster still has the 5th year options which should be picked up, but extension possibility there.
This is the very reason I am ok with them banking some cap space - to take care of their own. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
With his injury history I doubt they pick up the option on Foster, dont they have to make the decision by May? It would be better to get a head start with Allen than waiting on an expensive final year option, but I still think he is an option to be traded if the right offer came along...

Boys are signing the best D-line for the 2015 season. 1000% Cowboys are gonna be worse on defense this coming season. Nolan not a strong coordinator, best secondary player walked, Lawrence a year older, Quinn gone was their best pass rusher, who know LVE will ever be the same with his neck issue, etc Easy call to make |

Apparently, they think him and Smith can regain their previous glory. A pretty big gamble really. Neither have played in awhile. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Dallas has regressed on D and anyone that says otherwise is crazy.. They are banking on Dak/Cooper to get them to the playoffs.. They better score 30 a game
|
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
cowboys offense was good last year, but McCarthy will need it to be even better this year for the boys to compete.
Luckily they play in the east |

...........what's missing? Best supporting Cast in football in 2019 Look at the roster they had. They have drafted so well that they don't need to resign Byron Jones. In 2019 they basically had a Pro-Bowler at every position on the field LT Tyron Smith C Travis Frederick RG Zach Martin RT La'El Collins WR1 Amari Cooper WR2 Michael Gallup WR3 Randall Cobb RB Zeke DE DeMarcus Lawrence DE Robert Quinn LB Jaylon Smith LB LVE LB Sean Lee CB Byron Jones JJ is screwing up the QB position bad! That's a 13-3 supporting cast. The QB's job is to win. He won 8 games with the roster . |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Aldon Smith is a train wreck, he's a highlight reel of all the stupid shit he has done here in the SF Bay area. Good luck!!

I don’t think he’s even been reinstated by the league yet. |

Really hope him and Gregory have cleaned up off the field. They certainly had some substance problems. Dudes have been beastly rushing the passer. I definitely question the pickups, however I would not write them off quite yet.

Eli Apple available:

He's not great but I'd rate him far higher than Norman last year, and who knows what Del Rio can get our of him. I'd still rather sign Grant though; more potential upside. |

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
I believe Landon Collins called E. Apple a locker room cancer. Hopefully he's matured since then.

Who would you pick. (A). Breeland. (B). D. Randall. (C). E. Apple.

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Breeland and Randall and we'll have a solid secondary

Thanks for coming on this Redskins fan site as a Cowboys fan and telling us what opinions we should or should not have about the Cowpukes. You're right. though. In, truth the only thing that a Redskins fan needs to say about the Cowboys is "Dallas Sucks!". |

How about Breeland then? There are two reasons to not go after Eli Apple: 1. He can't play NFL football and 2. One of our core players and leaders says he's a cancer. |

our defense was trash no doubt, but its weird how top defenses remove the entire coaching staff on that side of ball. And that's a surprising stat, I along with most people wouldn't have know that...they must have done a really good job. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Apple is garbage. We have enough below average corners on this team. No need to add another one.

True. And it helped you win as many playoff games as we did last year. Congrats! |

Currently unsigned FAs must be feeling nervous.
Season cancelled = no money Season shortened = less money (i imagine) |
