Desean is really good. Does seem a tad overrated to me, but yeah, I'd take him here.

All the talk on Espn this morning is how great Luck is.RG3 needs to have a big game tonight for any chance at rookie of the year,IMO,plus we need to win
Theyre saying Luck has 5 4th qtr comebacks, blah blah blah. Not caring that much about his turnover ratio |
Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
Quite possible we're seeing the Magic, Jordan, Bird era of QBs.

Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
I agree the D. Jax would be an upgrade over Banks - but that's just not setting the bar very high. I don't think he is an upgrade - for this offense - over Garcon, Morgan or Moss (Okay, maybe Moss - but do you think DJ would come here to be WR3/PR when plenty of other teams (Cleveland, SD, Jax, Seattle) would pay him to be a WR1/2?). We need blocking WR's in this offense and PG and JM fit the bill well. Throw in his injury history and I am just not impressed.
Don't get me wrong, I think Jackson is a good WR - not as good as he thinks he is and not worth what the Eagles paid him. I just don't see him being a good fit here for what they would have to pay him. Again, I think we have cheaper solid quality guys down the depth chart. We have to many other holes to pay him what he would want and to be our slot reciever/PR. |

He may have a lot of turnovers, but he also has his team in the play-offs. Not denigrating RGIII in any way, my man-crush is full on. At the same time, Luck is no slouch and has been carrying the Colts in the same way RGIII has carried the Skins. A break here or there for either and the records of the two teams could easily be reversed. Bottom line in this league and, particularly for QB's, is wins. Luck may turn the ball over occasionally, but he wins. Can't take that away from him. I, for one, would love to see a regularly scheduled Luck v. Griffin Superbowl. Do that, and both make it to the HOF. |
Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
As an aside, can you imagine RGIII with a defense comparable to Seattle's? We would be 12-0.
I deeply envy their PED taking CB's. |

He's good when he wants to be good. It's amazing to see how good players play when they want something. No way would I ever bring that guy here to this team. This is the type of player that Vinny Ceratto would go get. The guy who wanted to get paid, not the player who would do his best to be the best he could be. DeSean simply isn't that guy and the numbers show that. I mean, the guy quit on the team when he didn't get his contract. Got his contract, and still didn't do squat. No thanks. I'll pass no matter how "good" he can be. |

I certainly wasn't arguing that we ought to go all Vinny on him and sign him, just that he would do what Banks does, but better. I'm not big on bringing any eagle players in, not worth the stink. |
Philadelphia is worse than they've been in 15 years. They may finish 4-12
They're a lock for 3-13 on a 12-game losing streak. I was at a 1-year old's birthday party with my kids this weekend and the Eagles fans were doing their stupid E-A-G-L-E-S chant and getting angry at everyone else (Ravens and Redskins fans). It's sad, yet so amusing this year. C'mon, it was a baby party. The excuse I got (in my face) when I shouted 31-6 as he was trash-taking the Ravens fan was "Well, the Redskins were so bad for so long they're bound to get lucky once". Yeah. OK. These two franchises are going to flip courses for a decade or so. The Eagles are going to be in complete dismantle and rebuild mode. The Skins will be perennial contenders. |

My impression was they're putting a lot on his plate throwing it as much as they do. He threw a lot of bad balls as I would expect him to, but he also made a ton of plays too. I think he gets the nod for ROY because Indy was pathetic last year and now they're on track of a wild card. |
Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
So apparently the Eagles have announced this morning Nick Foles will be the starter for the rest of the season
And let the 3-headed QB battle begin in New York!!!!! |

They're also fired another coach!

Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
I didn't see the Jets yesterday but Sanchez threw 3 picks in 20 attempts? He REALLY needs a change of scenery.

I'd say vick could be in Buffalo or Minnesota. Apparently they are already getting past ponder up there. Knew that was coming, he was a bust from day 1

Jim Washburn, DL coach. But, you already knew that. There was a scrolling "Breaking News" with it on NFLN all morning. I can't believe they're letting Reid suffer through Week 17 with this debacle. 12 game losing streak to end the year...it's happening. |

Been paying attention to the other QBs we've been associated with the last couple years....Sanchise, Locker, Ponder...couldnt be happier we got RG3. Saw alot of struggling from that bunch yesterday. Also got a chance to sit and watch Tannehill yesterday. Tannehill throws nice on the move, other than that still not impressed, seemed like he did in college, very average. Foles still looks better than him, like he did in college. |

Saw him overthrow a WIDE OPEN Hartline who had the coverage beat and was in stride to catch the ball at the 5 on a deep pass. I said to myself, that would have been an easy TD for the Redskins. No one can touch Griffin's accuracy on deep passes. Now, if his guys would just catch the ball every time...it's always right there on their hands. |

Easy throw, down the center of the field with no pressure on him and actually not too deep. RG3 had a similar throw to Moss for a td last giants game. |

He could have thrown to 2 different wide open guys and just put it out of the reach of the back guy. |

Re: Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition
Regardless of how our season ends, I am enjoying the heck out of the hot mess that Philly has become. It seems as soon as Reid went out to try and assemble the "Dream Team", the wheels came off the bus.
For years, they had had success adding a piece or two but never overcommitting (Javon "The Freak" Kearse being the exception) - essentially, being the anti-Vinny's. Then, I think out of a little desperation by Reid, and in an attempt to retool post McNabb, they blow wads of cash for parts that don't quite fit together. Reid probably should have "taken a break" after the McNabb trade and walked away a winner who set the team up for future success. Instead, he is looking desparate and not particularly like the "Stand up guy" on which he has built his reputation. |

Reid was the best coach in the division for the first half of last decade. The Eagles were a very good team at that time. Since then they've drafted pretty well and still made playoff runs. I don't know what happened to them this year. Aging roster? Players just not executing? Bad coaching? Regardless I never thought I'd see what I'm seeing this year out of an Andy Reid coached team. |
