Except I thought it was understood that WFT was an interim name while they explored the rebrand (so I guess the league already made that exception). I don't think it's a myth -- I believe the rule is real enough, even if the enforcement isn't.

I was listening to Sheehan's podcast and he said the fanbase probably need some kind of therapy. We have been through so much w/ this team, it's almost like being in a abusive relationship and we've finally gotten out. We don't know what to do or how to handle ourselves. It just feels weird.

100% agree. I know it will take time to clean up the mess, but they definitely seem to:

1. Understand what they are inheriting, and

2. Have a plan and a vision for what they want this organization to look like - on and off the field.

It's easy to be excited.

ESPN is even talking about it now too, apparently the rumor is the name will definitely be changed (AGAIN) which is absolutely embarrassing. Commanders / Football Team / redskins none of that shit matters until we actually win football games. Just keep the damn name and win games!

While that is frustrating, i have zero issues with removing the stink of Snyder and the name Commanders is a huge stink, especially with the way they came up with the name. They had the list and fan voting and so on, then when they announce the name it wasn't even one on the list. So the name was a great big FUCK YOU to the fans from Snyder. That's why i want it gone!!
