WFT v Seattle predictions/pregame talk

Geez - we are down our starting QB, RB, FS, and two LB? Seems like too much to overcome. Unless our D knocks RW out of the game early, I think we’re toast.

Haskins makes us think about how good he can be. I'm back on the Haskins bandwagon this week. Use your damn feet.

Redwolves - 24
Seapigeons - 17

Like MTK said, BIG opportunity for Haskins. I would love for him to give me a reason to jump on that bandwagon...we'll see.

I was glad we picked him and stuck with him through all of last year and the start of this year.

It's been all good news recently about him starting to get what it takes to be successful.

He has all the talent in the world, but if he can't translate anything from QB room/practice field to to the gameday field, the talent doesn't matter.

That pass to McLaurin that should have been easy pitch and catch for a 1st down and big play, turned into almost a game altering interception, killed me. You have to be able to do the basics.

And he is too talented to not have the ability to do it. He just needs to either work at it more and/or absolutely force himself to do it no matter how uncomfortable it makes him. I'd rather have him throw late with proper footwork than wing balls off his back foot that go sailing high.

He needs to build his confidence back up, he has been humbled and brought down (at least I hope). He showed emotion during the press conference after the SF and hopefully he can use that as motivation and play pissed and regain his mojo.

I just don’t think Haskins has it, but I hope I’m wrong. That overthrown pass to Mc Laurin was because he was playing too tight.

Hopefully practicing with the first team will help Haskins this week. Let’s also hope that sitting behind Alex Smith and listening to Alex’s advice will help Dwayne grow. Certainly Haskins needs reps to get better. If the Defense can turn up the heat like last game, Haskins will have opportunities. Unfortunately, I think every team from now on will double or even triple-team McLaurin. If Cam Sims and Logan Thomas can turn up the juice, then that will take the pressure off McLaurin.

We can win this game if Haskins has a good game and the defense continues to play excellent- outstanding football. Haskins can win it by just NOT turning it over and being accurate. Let’s see how he does this week!

Wow. I somehow missed that one. Holcomb and KPL out is a MASSIVE blow.
SDH hasn't played well and Thomas Davis is too slow to be on a football field.

I know we rely on our Dline a lot anyway, but there's no way they don't find ways to run the ball on us and pick our LB apart in the short passing game... Not nearly as much confident as I was earlier in the week.

Everett was a big loss already, but Reaves is playing fine... our back up LBs aren't.

Now, thankfully their bad Oline is banged up, and watching their game against the Giants I thought Wilson under pressure wasn't as good as he can be sometimes, maybe he's tired of playing without an Oline for several years... not sure that'll be enough though.

I guess, but there's *starter* who plays most of the game and those that don't. KPL hasn't "started" 2 of the last 3 games and played less than 32% of snaps in 4 of last 5 games.

Wasn't aware of this but do know that SDH played well in in place of KPL last week when he was injured...... no Holcomb is going to hurt though

Scott Turner is an X factor here. If he calls a game like he did against the Ravens, quick plays, to LOS fast so defense can't change players regularly, then Haskins will have success. RW is subjected to taking sacks so this is a chance for the defense to give the offense a short playing field.

A lot of doom and gloom in here after the Team just won 4 straight...

I think it will definitely be a challenge but with the way our defense is playing I think we can hang with anybody in the league.

Much like the Pittsburgh game, this game will show us where we really as a unit. We have a fair amount of starters out but winning teams overcome that sort of thing.

I'm gonna predict defense keeps us in it again and offense does just enough to get us all entirely drunk off the kool-aid.

Yes...get Dwayne comfortable early with easy throws and I say get Haskins on the move outside the pocket. I’d like to see them take a shot early too to get his confidence up. When Dwayne had swag the last four games, he was a better player....get a nice play design up because nothing raises confidence than a big completion.

Another thing not about coaching or out of control of Dwayne: the team must rally around Dwayne. Oline needs to hold their blocks a lil longer, WR need to make tough catches, RB need to get that extra yard...and they need to play hype.

Too many injuries on defense for us to effectively contain Wilson. I have serious doubts about our ability to pull this one out.

Heinicke to back up Haskins. Guess Montez isn't ready for such a role.
