Re: Week 1: Let's Go!!!!
So we head into this season with an unproven no 1, the committee thing is perfect.
My biggest concerns on offense heading into the season: 1. Left side of Oline 2. Left side of Oline 3. Can Logan Thomas be a no 1 guy in an offense which relies on the TE? 4. Can Haskins take a step in growth at QB? 5. Can we get production from a WR not named Sims jr and Terry?
Totally Agree. The one I am most sure is a problem is #3 and #5. This TE / WR squad is so underwhelming. I think Haskins will have some issues because of that. |

We had options at every skill set level, wide net of free agents, less-than-optimal draft picks option, but still about 15 decent draftee available. I feel Logan Thomas has been better than expected at camp which is a plus tho. That being said, if left tackle/left guard regress...boy we fucked up big time. The entire offense will be terrible. |
Re: Week 1: Let's Go!!!!
no preseason will, i will say again, really hurt this team out of the gate.
I want to have hope in my heart but my brain says dont expect shit we will prolly get eaten alive sunday. |

If he simply takes off where he finished last year, we have a very decent NFL starting QB. And I think better coached and having shown signs of good work ethic he'll be improving. |

So "Cooley and Kevin" is back !
And apparently so are Cooley's film breakdowns ! I think it'll be highly entertaining and valuable to get his opinion on this young new team, a rebuild year is a time when individual evaluations are more interesting than scoreboards! |

Fuller being doubtfull hurts us, but man the birds are banged up. If Miles Sanders and Lane Johnson end up being out or playing hurt, we definitely have a shot. |

Amen to that. I never draft players from the NFCE. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I’d rather our team win a Super Bowl than win fantasy football. My team name: WFT? WTF! Last year it was Guice Guice Baby, but that was obviously out of the question. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Week 1: Let's Go!!!!
Man am I sick of hearing all of the experts talk about how Philly is going to roll us this weekend. I’d love to see a del rio defense punch them in the mouth and put our offense in the drivers seat. Eagles fans are insufferable.

Re: Week 1: Let's Go!!!!
I'm cautiously optimistic. If things come together then the O can be competitive and at least keep us in games.
Everyone is talking about the OL and TE from a passing game perspective, but what if the running game and short/screen passing game have early success? If they can keep out of too many obvious long passing downs (low risk plays, lot's of PA which is one of Haskins good areas), then pass pro is mitigated and he doesn't need 3-4 seconds back there. I'm not saying its a sure thing but I couldn't help noting that the Chiefs, even with a proven passing game, probably the best QB in football, leant heavily on the run game and a lot of misdirection Thursday to negate the pass rush. Their D stifled the Texans. We're not that good a roster but seems to me exactly the game plan we should be using. Probably won't beat the best teams, maybe not even be competitive with them, but the 2nd tier teams will be beatable. |

This does not necessarily equate to "dink and duck" because we now have more speed and explosiveness on offense than we've had in years. I believe that Terry McLaurin, Steven Smith, Jr., McKissic, Gibson, and Love can all take it to the house at any time. A heavy dose of running and short passing will also set up some deep shots. I think we'll compete hard on offense. |
Re: Week 1: Let's Go!!!!
I’m starting to feel it. Redskins football is almost here. It’s like a growing fire inside of me. Like there’s a miniature me inside my beer gut all fired up, running around and flexing and doing the ultimate warrior and ric flair impressions. I just want to run around and chest bump and head butt every person I see today. I feel like I could lift up a car right now. Like two hands lift it above my head like He Man when he does the “I feel the power” thing.
