Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
He was given his position when he got here, when Todd Collins took this team to the playoffs he didn't even have chance to battle for that position. Jason has always been safe. We should've given him the Vince Young treatment 2 years ago after Todd took us to the postseason. If Joe Gibbs is back that next year Jason NEVER sees the field before midseason that year. I hope you all have the same excuses ready for when he goes and stinks it up somewhere else next year.
It would've been interesting to see what happened if he was given the "VY treatment" as you mentioned. Of course there was a scheme change after that, so who knows. |
Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
Unlike Steve Smith, our receivers do not go and get balls down the field. He is a one of a kind.
Cambell at times has gotten the ball to Santana. Moss just isn't in the same league as Smith. Plus, with that line, Campbell would actually have time to go down the field. Campbell is more accurate than the haters give him credit for.
So you mean to tell me that you weren't as boosted as I was that Campbell actually completed a deep fade yesterday ? Because unless you've been doing that on Madden you haven't seen him do that. Or maybe I missed that game. Campbell is great 15 and under but deeper throws, you are really creating this deep ball accuracy thing purely out of your love for the team. He has time to make a lot of throws that he misses. True Smith is in a different league but I've seen Moss running free and Jason misses him by a lot. Let's not forget that either. Like I said if you've seen him completing these bombs please, please tell me when. |
Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
FOX put up a stat at the start of that last drive.. JC has led 7 4th quarter comebacks...
JC is not the problem here. His stats this year are better than ever. His O line has been much much worse. We need to keep him. Same with zorn. Yeah lets change QBs and Coaches every two years that'll win us some championships!!! (sarcasm)
I agree that Campbell should stay. He's playing GREAT with a line in turmoil. Zorn has proven he can't handle the job though. Even yesterday when it was Zorn's playcalling working in the last 2 minutes of BOTH halves, the offense tanked...Jason threw INTs and was nearly decapitated. I don't think it's a coincidence that the offense and Campbell do so much better when Zorn is not calling the plays. Campbell is showing some good leadership and skills this season despite not having protection and play calling being a mess. He has earned a shot to lead the team at least for another season, but he can't do it alone. He needs an offensive line and a coach who knows how to use him. |
Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
How is he going to get the ball to Steve Smith ? The man RARELY completes deep throws. That's how they won last year. He and many people here already complain that his receivers are too short. Find another one.
Aren't you watching the games? He does complete them when he has time for the receivers to get downfield...he RARELY has time though. |

Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
He doesn't have to be a top 5 QB but you have to be able to go out and win games for your team. He can't. Sorry to say, he can't. It's not a thing abotu the O-Line because when we had an O-Line and went 6-2 he did what ? NO-Fucking-Thing. He didn't throw a pick but he had 6, yes count them 6 touchdowns. HE doesn't make the people around him better, we constantly ask everyone else to make him better. That cannot be the question about a 5 year veteran in the league. I understand that he hasn't started for all 5 years. Just 4 years so far on his way to 4 1/2. The problem with Jason as a QB is that he hasn't had to earn a thing. No excuses for JC, but Collins sucks also. Interception after interception is why we didn't get far in the post season that yr. |

He was a big reason we got that far to begin with. And he threw 2 INTs that day along with 2 TDs. He wasn't the one that cost us that game. |
Jason Campbell should eat my farts....this guy blows...this team will never win anything until they draft Sam Bradford...I wish Zorn and Sherm Lewis got concussions with Campbell Soup so they could all go away at once...
How many days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training?
What makes you think Sam Bradford would want to play for the Redskins? Not to hijack this thread, but Bradford's of Cherokee Nation. His grandmother is full-blooded Cherokee which makes me think he may have an issue wearing a Redskin uniform. And maybe not, but it's def something to consider, especially when you're trying to start a new QB bandwagon (apparently the wheels fell off Colt Brennan's). |

Has he ever spoken out on such an issue? |
No, but Sam Bradford will not air passes over the heads of our wide receivers....Jason Campbell is too stupid to be a starting QB in the NFL....the guy's a moron....
LETS GO METS!!!!
If you really think that JC is unintelligent then this really speaks to how unintelligent you MAY BE (not calling you stupid, but wondering). This guy has only learned 4 different offenses in 5yrs that requires him to know every position on the offense and what their responsible for. Anyone that can do that is not a dumb/stupid person. QueensRedskinsFan for GM, because he obiviously is smarter than JC and everyone else on this site. |

That's a crazy thought... Many polls have been taken on the made-up racial issue about sports teams and Native American names. The NAs overwhelmingly are either honored or do not care either way. Very few are actually "offended" by the names and logos. It's an issue that has mainly been made up by white lawyers and PC-policemen who want to make a name for themselves by forcing their opinions on others through litigation. If Bradford was so easy to be offended, he wouldn't be playing for the Sooners...besides, those white men in wagons came riding in and forcing the Indians off their land! |

Not that I know of. And in fact Dan and Vinny could prove more offensive than any name or logo. But he is a member of Cherokee Nation; I believe it's his great/grandparents who are full-blooded. Just something to think about... |

We all toss around our opinions on the subject, but for the most part, it doesn't personally affect us in the sense that we're a bunch of white, black, brown, green fans attached to the name. Along comes a dude who might think otherwise because the name/logo speaks to his tribe. Or not. I do agree, however, that the majority of NAs could care less. Count me among them. |
Re: Jason Campbell Says He Blacked Out After Hit on Final Drive
Wasn't Mark Rypien part Native American? In fact isn't Zorn as well?

Last skins game i went to in Arizona i saw more Native Americans sporting redskin jerseys than anyone else. Don't believe the hype. |
