The Titans owner? That's very interesting and ties into another fairly substantial rumor I'd heard
Is it involving Hasselbeck? Or Locker?

Maybe we could get Hasselbeck to back up Griffin.

Nice idea. A quality veteran backing up a young quarterback is what we want. But because of Grossman's familiarity with K. Shanahan's offense, I think he will be re-signed. But I would think Matt Hasselback is still under contract with the Titans. But with the Titans having Jake Locker, they would have him playing every down at QB since he was their 1st round pick a year ago. But if the Titans traded Hassleback to Washington, what would the Redskins be willing to give up? Maybe a veteran/role player?

I was thinking of it this way:
1) Titans sign Manning
2) Titans keep Locker

ergo
3) Titans cut Hasselbeck and we can sign him without a trade
So what would that do to Tebow? I would imagine he wouldn't be thrilled with going back to 2nd string or being a wildcat/option specialist.
If God's plan is for him to be a backup, I doubt you'll hear anything out of him.

Please I know the Tim Tebow playbook like the back of my hand. He'll go with the "You never want to be a backup blah blah blah" and here's the key, he'll go into some shtick about how he's competitive. Then he'll give some plug to the SEC to lock up his college analyst job at the ESPeN.

I imagine his comment would be something along the lines of,"You always want to be the starter, but if this is the path chosen for me by my lord and savior Jesus Christ, I will accept it."

God's plan only comes into effect after a big loss where he gets to play, not when he looses the starting job.

Hasselbeck. Rumor has been Bud's not the biggest fan and he might be a surprise cut. But it wasn't supposed to happen until later in the year after Locker got some more practice in

Thats odd. Few guys in the NFL are as nice as Hasselbeck and few guys would be willing to take a rookie under their wing like Locker has with Hasselbeck. All the talk and hypotheticals of veterans teaching rookies at QB, Hasselbeck is one of the few good QB's thats actually willing to do that.

How are the cards even considering PM being that they are nearly 17 million over the cap?
How are the cards even considering PM being that they are nearly 17 million over the cap?
Levi Brown is 14.1 million (base salary) of that. Stewart Bradley more than $5 million. They've yet to restructure any veterans.

Getting under the cap with enough to sign Manning should be easy enough, but it should be a consideration of the Manning camp that the Cards likely can't use the FA market to get additional help.
