You have to take into account that L. Smith already knows the players/roster and where the team is at as a whole.

Ownership already knows him as well and how he works. I don’t think there’s any news here.

lol I like this guy, seems quirky as hell but apparently he's a bright football mind. Can he lead though? That's always the big question.

punch , sorry man but I got to disagree with you here. He is a veteran HC who has taken a team to a super bowl. Now looking at exactly what the Texans are going through right now he might be the right thing that team needs. A voice of experience that older and younger players can feel good with . To add and while many don't like to admit this a HC the Owners are comfortable giving up the keys to the franchise to.

Not sure what objective evidence there is that says Flores is better than Smith. Smith's resume says otherwise. Lovie has a big edge just in terms of overall experience.
