The man was protecting himself when the refs wouldn't that I don't blame him
I mean if he didn't resort to those tactics, then a trash talking CB would have . . .? Did they target his head or knees? I didn't watch the game but until ODB started throwing right hooks and spearing the dude in the ear hole it looked like typical WR/CB crap from the highlights. Jersey grabbing, pushing and throwing to the ground. Happens in every game. What did he need protecting from besides dropping a wide open ball? |
Re: Week 15
Who is ODB?
AS well as he should have ,the NFL had to and they did do the right thing but again the refs aren't getting enough of the blame and nether is Norman for the knee to ODB head .Really the black baseball bat is a punk move and I'll bet some good beer it won't be done this week.
So much back and forth happened that it's hard to keep up with, but I don't remember that, though it very well may have happened. Do you know when it happened? I definitely saw the play where Norman dropped/pushed OBJ to the ground and I thought he should get a flag for that, but I don't remember the knee. As for the refs, They warned both coaches. I liked that they were trying to avoid throwing flags early on and I love a 'let 'em play' approach by the refs. As it progressed, though, I agree that it got out of hand and OBJ should have been ejected, but just for the one hit. I think everything else was childish (on both players' parts) and flag-worthy but not ejection-worthy. I don't know, but I assume the refs didn't see that hit. If they had, I think they'd have known right away that ignoring it would mean discipline for them. So, I think it was a big miss by them, but that's all it was. Sorry, but the bat thing is stupid. At best it's like a rapist saying "The way she was dressed, she was just asking to be raped." Mostly though I'm just PO'd at the media. This started out a boring game but turned into one of the best games of the year, with all kinds of playoff implications and great plays, yet the ONLY focus is on this story and figuring blame and conspiracy stories to keep it going as long as possible. As a Panther fan, sure, I could whine about OBJ. G1 could cry about bats. I think both of us would agree that there are a heckuva lot of other things we'd prefer to spend our time seeing every time we turn on ESPN. |

Re: Week 15
OBJ had a bad day, he let them get under his skin, he was out of line no doubt, but he's not the first guy to have this happen to.
Norman and co. have to share some blame too. So do the refs for not taking control early on. Either way it's not wise to make blanket statements about the guy's character. If he was our guy the opinions here would be 180 degrees in the other direction.
The gifs I posted are from more than just one day, MTK. When a player displays a pattern of being a dirty player, over multiple games, is it OK to refer to him as such? |
Re: Week 15
Thank you , your own video's proved my point. If you can't grasp the ignorance of the baseball bat thing and some one else said other teams do it ...........is BS.The man was protecting himself when the refs wouldn't that I don't blame him for but to me there are other ways to do it.Trash talk is done by all team and especially DB's and receivers that's shit he must get use to but your own video's prove Norman was out to hurt Beckham and both should have gone.
LOl, I think you need to actually watch what people including me have posted.
Your star receiver is a classless embarrassment, that just got suspended a game for behavior roundly condemned around the league. Deal with it. LOL, and after I called out your ignorance about the "redskins" name, you want to try using that word... Facts: The Panthers did bring bats to other games, so have the Saints, and so far only the Giants have cried publicly about it. Like you are still doing. Are you still ignorant about this? "Protecting himself" does not mean "run up to a player standing still at the end of a play and spear him with your helmet". Just so you are educated on that, at least. BTW, who or what was Old Dirty Beckham "protecting himself" against the Bills and Rams? |
