Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK SB THREAD
Why do stats go out the window? I'm not sure I agree with that.
I agree that Mahomes is arguably the best player in football, but my point was that it doesn't appear that Vic helped them all that much. Their D got embarrassed, in the 2nd half especially. They are somewhat making fun of the whole thing here in Denver, with Fangio being the Broncos HC from 2019-2021, saying that the Eagles defense looked eerily similar to the Bronco's defense in his unsuccessful three year stint here. I didn't watch enough of the Eagles' games to know if they changed much of their defense for the Super Bowl. Maybe KC just exploited them because they can - and it would have happened with or without Vic's "help". Either way I'm good with the result. KC now joins the Commanders as the only two teams to beat the Eagles this year - with Jalen Hurts as the QB.
I’m talking about the “eagles best DL ever “ Stats where they had all those sacks this season but zero last night. Over the time of a 18 game schedule yes I’d make a bet based off stats and grades etc but for a Super Bowl?? I’m betting on the best QB every single time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK SB THREAD
I don't know who crowned their DL the best DL ever, but what they were able to do all season long didn't translate to the biggest game of the year. I know Patrick and Andy had a lot to do with that, but makes me wonder how much they tried to change based on Fangio's consulting for this game, rather than just stick with what's been working.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK SB THREAD
Ill take a trip to the superbowl and i dont give a fuck how many points we score or give up in it. Hell ill take a trip to the second round with the same thought.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK SB THREAD
This is the conundrum the Giants have, add in Barkley and Williams plus others and you have to add other pieces' like a #1 receiver and a few OL men to spend money on. IMO you sign Jones to a team friendly contract of 30/32 mill no more then 4 years 75-80 guaranteed, that still puts Jones around #16 on the QB earnings list of QB's. You release Golladay June 1st giving you 13.5 more in cap (7mill dead cap) right there is your Barkley money leaving you around 32 million to do all the others which I will tell you is almost 24 million more then they had last year for cap space. Cap is projected to go up in 2024 almost 23 million per team.(I think)
Giants would be really dumb to give Barkley a big contract |

MPO is around 12 for Barkley per for 3 years. |

Defensive performance is typically unpredictable especially high impact plays like sacks and turnovers. The only metric that seems reliable is QB hits. Given that and two weeks to focus it will always be an advantage to the offense and in particular passing offense which is easiest to predict week in week out. |

expect it wasn't the super bowl |

$12M a year would barely keep him in the top 10 highest paid backs. McCaffrey leads the pack at $16M per year, I'd start there. |

Zek is hurting the Cowboys, you can always find a RB |

He turned down a 12 mill per during the season 4 years 62-70 million. Giants eating up that cap There is no way in this day and age I want to give 10 mill plus per RB |

And there are some that are clearly better than most, but yet...that shelf life is still the same. |

I think he'll stay a Giant but there is a business side of things for sure. If he walks I can understand it . |
