Atlanta will be real tough for us. There are no easy games when you are a bottom feeder. But yeah that stretch is going to be horrendous. Than the nfc east stretch which is always a struggle. I am telling you 5 wins is very ambitious thinking. Onto the 2022 draft thread I guess. Stud LT, or stud pass rusher im hoping for.
I think we should focus on QB in the draft.. As we have seen from some teams, franchise QBs can turn the team around. Look at Mahomes, Herbert, Jackson (I personally don't like him as QB but results is results), etc. If we continue to play like we played yesterday throughout the season - I think we will be in top 6-8 in the draft, which means we will have a chance to draft a QB. So far, it seems like WFT, Steelers, Texans, Lions, maybe Broncos and Panthers will need a new QB next year. |

Definitely a need, but look at Chicago and Jacksonville….a rookie quarterback would get shell shocked and probably gun shy playing behind our oline. Plus i dont think next years draft is quarterback heavy. We are unfortunately a new staff, a quarterback, and several starters from contending. It sucks. |

I was looking at our teams pass coverage stats: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was/2021_advanced.htm
WJ3 is playing pretty well. 50% completion passage. Yds/comp is a bit higher than I would like. Don't know average for a no. 1. Collins does not look like a liability in pass protection but once they catch the ball his missed tackle rate? ooph Bostic, Holcomb and Curl got to step up. Those underneath routes are killing us. |
Re: WTF @ Bills post game thread
We need to find a QB.
Yes the defense still needs help. It’s really criminal we sit back during free agency and look for good deals instead of getting a LB or a free safety who can contribute. Will Ron hold some of these players accountable on defense and bench them? Move Collins to the bench and play Curl their. Play McCain at free. Just get Bostic off the field and play the rook their all the time to get experience. Turner offense to me isn’t my favorite. I’d like to move to a zone blocking run scheme. And play more 12 personnel while still mixing in 3 wide sets. We don’t even use a second boundary WR effectively |

Battle for Number one pick…
Jets,Giants,Lions,Football team.. How many of players could start for a top tier team ? Offense .. Terry,Scherff, maybe Thomas,Gibson Defense… Allen, Young,Sweat,Payne ???? We have a great punter !!! 😀 What coaches do we have that would be sought after ?? We Are bad like maybe the potential to be the Worst Washington team in modern history .. the sky is indeed falling .. |

It literally cannot be worse. |

Thomas would absolutely start almost anywhere else he is not a maybe. I dont think quarterback is coming thru the draft next year, and honestly with this staff it is impossible to pinpoint the problem areas on the field. They make everything look like a problem. We are in deep doo doo for the foreseeable future. We most definitely need a quarterback, k, two linebackers, a corner, a safety, and a LT. Also a new staff. That is for certain. |

Bostic 85.7% completion rate against and a allowed QB rating of 98.2. Awful |
Re: WTF @ Bills post game thread
Good
- pass pro - Antonio Gibson - Scherff not being injured long term - interested to see some grades on Cosmi - OL discipline. no false starts? I think 1 holding? - Cheeseman with another game he didnt have his name called. Good job so far - Terry McLaurin |

Maybe switch out JDR but no one and i mean no one is like i really want that WFT job i hope RR gets fired so i can scoop it up. At this point how you don't make a play on Watson is beyond me; even if he sits a year he is 25 plenty of life in him, then you start building around him. |
Oh I agree that they were crowned elite talent without having proved it. But the talent level on this roster, what we've seen some of them do, is not as atrociously bad as this D is playing.
Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk
While I believe it is true, they can play better, but only if they are playing a below average NFL QB. If they have to play a top 10 QB that has weapons they are simply not capable of shutting down that offense or QB. That seems to be the track record for this group. |
