Went back over some articles about him from his college days, he really overcame some serious obstacles to make it to the NFL. Shame he's basically another wasted talent now. Hope this is the wakeup call he needs to turn his life around, assuming he gets convicted I think felony strangulation is not something you could plead down to probation. And all of this goes without saying but I hope the girl is alright too. Was reading about it on Reddit (yeah I know) and being strangled to the point of unconsciousness can have serious medical implications that aren't immediately known (like swelling of the air passage in the throat) to the point they have to run several tests on people to clear them back to good health.

No excuses. While you’re trying to explain it, think about if there is any reason in which it would be ok if someone pinned your daughter, your mom, your sister down and kept them from breathing until they passed out and later woke up wondering if they were dead.

There is no excuse that makes this ok. So stop trying to explain the circumstances.

He needs to be in prison for a long time.

Guice fell to the second round because of concerns about his durability ([emoji736]) and maturity ([emoji736]). There’s a clue about our second round “curse.”

Guice has his chances with a very good contract on a professional football team and he blew it up himself. Not once or twice but THREE times. I feel a little sorry for him, because this fall from grace will take him down very, very far from the cheering crowds of FEDEX fields. But strangling a young woman shows me that he really lost it. If he had asked for serious help after the first incident, he might have survived, but he did not do that and then attacked her again and again. It should be a cautionary tale to his teammates that this behavior will not be tolerated by Rivera.

This has been our entire problem with the second round for many years. It has been very disappointing that our past front offices never learned to stop making high risk picks in the 2nd round hoping to strike gold.

We had no 2nd Round picks in 2020 or 2019. Before that, it's UGLY.

The ONLY picks I don't view as busts were maybe Trent Murphy and Fred Davis and they're not even 2nd-round results. Ryan Anderson, still has a chance to salvage but he keeps switching positions (LB, FULLBACK, DE...) and hasn't really round a solid role.

We were absolutely cursed in the 2nd round under Bruce Allen.

I was hoping for a starting LT this year, but Gibson could be a smart pick now that Guice is gone.

I wonder if the team / Snyder was somehow so involved in the splash pick that the 2nd round simply didn't get attention - then the FO of Snyder Allen turned over the board at the 3rd round and later to the actual scouts. When it's that bad a track record there usually is a systemic reason. And remember some of those years were VC/DS not BA/DS,

FYI, Matt Jones was taken in the 3rd round. Still, a terrible pick by GM Scot. Morris was clearly the better back but Jay and Scot wanted Jones... lol.

Bruce Allen was an absolutely awful GM for a decade. The second rounder draft pick should be a starter and Allen couldn’t even get that right.

The good news is that Kyle Smith has the ability to fix the draft well, as he has done over the last few yrs. the Bruce Allen nightmare is over. Don’t let the door hit your azz on the way out, loser.
