2018 Wizards update.

Still firmly in the fire Ernie/Brooks/start the rebuild boat, I hadn't watched a game yet this year and felt like I was due, even though the Wizards did their yearly "guys are being selfish" locker room speech in October instead of December this time.

Turn on the game vs. the Grizzlies tonight, 7 min left in the 4th quarter. In the span of 3 minutes the Grizzlies went on a 8-0 run to eventually go up by 15, as of now with 1 minute left the Grizzlies are up by 17.

Idk why Leonsis is neglecting this team. We are wasting Wall/Beal/Porter as long as Grunfeld is in charge.

Scotty brooks and Ernie need to go.

Dwight Howard was a horrible move. They should have pushed to sign boogie cousins in the offseason.

Decided to turn on my 2nd game of the year to watch Dwight's debut. Just turned that shit off with 10 minutes left in the 3rd. Wizards down 30, Kelly Oubre literally -29 in 15 minutes. Otto Porter +2, every other Wizards starter is at least -15.

Calling this team dog shit is an insult to dog shit, at least that fertilizes the ground.

I'm a OKC fan so I'm glad they won. But are Wizards games always this low energy? Ubre made a great and 1 play in the 1st half win game was still winnable and like 8 people applauded.

Last year they were mediocre and this year they somehow managed to get worse. I'll assume no Wiz fans are going to the games because why pay to see a garbage product?

I literally can't believe the Caps Stanley Cup-winning owner could be this terrible at also running the Wizards. From the long overdue firing of Ernie, to butchering the GM process, the more I see the more I believe a conservative, give your GM 5 years to build through the draft guy like Ted isn't cut out for ownership in the tandem/tri-star landscape that is the NBA right now.

And the GM for NBC Sports Washington - Damon Phillips. How pathetic is it the way they announced his departure. 22 fucking years for this franchise, and after you shit on Phil Chenier you couldn't even put out a statement thanking Buck for the years he put in . Something simple like "We thank Buck for his years of service, but we are looking for a fresh voice in 2019" would've sufficed.

This article is absolutely pathetic. The least you could do is thank Buck for giving 22 years of his life to this franchise.

Big fuck you to NBCS-W and Monumental Sports for how they dumped Buck and Chenier. I think it's safe to assume they want a cheerleader in the booth, and they got their wish. And no disrespect to Kutcher/Gooden, I absolutely hope they succeed, but Buck/Chenier were every bit as respected as Beninati/Laughlin, John Walton, Frank Herzog, and all the other legendary sportscasters in this town. The booth might be fine, but even they won't be able to mask the mediocre product on the court next season. Just hope they get a decent return for Beal when they decide to embrace the full rebuild.

It's a win for VA for sure. DC needs to take that 500 million and reinvest it in getting crime under control. Unconfirmed rumor but some reporter on Twitter said DC went from keeping 27 cops posted around the Caps Center on gamedays to keeping 3 posted. Makes me wonder how bad staffing issues are at MPDC.

Alexandria needs to come up with a traffic plan for Potomac Yard now. I think it would really help if they made a Potomac Yard exit for the GW parkway. Having Metro helps but traffic around there is already a clusterfuck and it will be even worse once the redevelopment commences at the shopping center.

I am sure Ted has done his due diligence and knows how much Maryland attendance he will lose vs Virginia attendance he will gain. Personally I know I am not driving an additional hour round trip for any week day Caps games any more. I liked going into the city eating out before the game. Oh well
