Re: Has anyone else completely lost faith in the military?
Is this really news? I could have told you back when women started joining that if you mix young men and women into the military this would happen. For the most part we are talking college age kids and a little older.

If a college age kid is considered old enough to be trusted to go to war then he should be considered old enough to know not to assault/abuse a woman |
Re: Has anyone else completely lost faith in the military?
Sad that some seem to expect this sort of stuff from the military. I'd like to think we can do better. A lot better.
I don't live in another country. I live in one where the citizens of this country have a right to privacy, and one where the government is supposed to have a legal warrant to obtain the type of information they are currently obtaining.
As it is, they are shitting on the Constitution and using the guise as "protecting" us as the excuse. They aren't protecting us from anything, and they have no right to invade our privacy as such. **** the Patriot Act and **** the rest of the cock suckers in Congress supporting this shit.
When in doubt cry about the "Constitution" weather it has anything to do with the argument or not. People like you are screaming about right to privacy show me where it says you right to privacy can be the cause for innocent American citizens to be murdered by terrorist? Republicans and Democrats alike have a greed the program is (was) working, like it or not the American public does not have the "right" to know everything that goes on to protect them. |

Men should be taught that from day one , not matter what their age. |
Re: Has anyone else completely lost faith in the military?
Like I said, this line of thinking led to these issues.
You're basically throwing your hands up and saying oh well, when men and women get together shit happens. Lame. The military clearly looked the other way for too long and did not have policies in place to discourage this behavior and to properly discipline those that were clearly way out of line.
Your 40 these kids are half your age. Your talking young kids living together, tight quarters, etc... and this will happen. Remember a comment can be sexual assult. "Hey baby you have a fine ass" is considered a sexual assault if its an unwanted comment and reported its counted. My guess many of these cases are simple unwanted comment made to a woman. |
Re: Has anyone else completely lost faith in the military?
^ Yes I'm sure all the fuss is over some rude comments.

Re: Has anyone else completely lost faith in the military?
Why didnt the top brass in front of congress go with that defense last week?
"We investigated and most sexual assaults were actually compliments taken the wrong way." I tell ya, that explanation belongs in the FD Hall of Fame. Thats just a classic. |

The fuss is over the large number and my guess is that number is inflated because a rude comment is considered. I actually think it should be considered a complment. BTW I did not make that up. Unwanted sexual contact is everything from somebody looking at you sideways when they shouldn't to someone pushing you up against the wall and brutally raping you |
