I think Austin is gone. Our opening day WR core in my opinion:

Leonard Hankerson
Pierre Garcon
Joshua Morgan
Santana Moss
Jabar Gaffney
Joe Adams

Aldrick Robinson/Niles Paul to PS

* Gaffney might be gone too.

Agree (I'll keep Gaffney)... This is a decent WR core.

Mark my words, Niles Paul will make this roster. His special teams play outs him ahead of every one else fighting for a roster. He also is a very hood blocker down field which Shanny loves. He did have many catches on the field but caught everything thrown his way in camp and practice. Lets not forget he was a rookie with no OTAs and was a late round draft pick. He needs time to develop just like almost every WR in the league. Very few WRs do anything their rookie year. It will also surely help that he wont havr Beck and Grossman throwing him the ball!!

We need all the "hood" blockers we can get.

Re: If we Draft a WR, who do you want?

Terrence Austin needs a strong preseason in order to make the team. As a 7th round draft choice, he'll be crossed out every year to make the team. Banks seems to be in trouble of being cut until he blasts for a long return for a TD during preseason that puts him in position to make the team. Armstrong could be a surprise release because of injuries his game feel off last season. He has to have a strong preseason also.

Re: If we Draft a WR, who do you want?

In preseason Austin looked good with the more mobile Beck in, so IMO with the way more mobile/accurate/stronger arm RG3 I expect him to step up based on the excitement alone of having a young QB with SKY the limit (Que Biggie Video) possibilties on the team.

Re: If we Draft a WR, who do you want?

I'm not counting Austin out, but he has a lot of competition in front of him. Donte Stallworth was ahead of him on the depth chart towards the end of the season. When Hankerson was placed on IR after the game @ Miami, why wasn't Austin called upon? Austin does have talent, but he needs to take the reigns, grab the bull by the horns, and make the coaches take notice of him. The least guy on the depth chart will always be the one out of a job.

If we draft a wide receiver, i want a new front office. Jesus Christ, really? We need more bubble butts right now, not hamstring pulls.

Who is Joe Adams, and why is he on the opening day roster?

^ Joe Adams is the WR from Arkansas. Perfect slot WR and return man.

Re: If we Draft a WR, who do you want?

I just don't foresee the Skins going out and drafting a WR now that we picked up 2 in FA, but I'll play along.....

I don't care how or when the team picks him up but the team needs to get Jared Green and atleast give him a work out. I'd hate for some other team to take him and the Skins not give some sort of respectful gesture and bring him in. The way I see it if they could keep Westbrook on the team for 3-4 yrs they certainly can sign Jared Green for one year. Put him on the PS unless he actually shines.

I'd like Adams or Broyles as an eventual replacement for Moss in the slot.

There's been mention in the media of the Redskins drafting Wisconsin WR Nick Toon. For all of you old heads that can think back, his father Al Toon was a sensational WR for the New York Jets.

Toon looks pretty slow from when I watch him play. Our only WR need at the moment is our slot guy.

I want Broyles, but I have a bad, bad feeling that NE will get him in the late 2nd 3rd, with one of their 20 draft picks (slight sarcasm)
