Dansby will receive a 20% increase if the Cards tag him which means about $10 mill on the year. He isn't worth that IMHO so i think it leaves the Cards in a lousy situation.

... i wonder if the FO is looking seriously at Boley. He's very young and his drop-off in play last year doesn't make a lot of sense. Could also be a very nice value FA move.

This.

Grab a very solid offensive lineman in free agency, just not one of the top end ones because they will be too expensive.

After that we can draft an o lineman in the first. I say trade down a bit and get this Mack guy that everyone around here seems to love.

That adds two very solid pieces to the oline and that makes us much better overall IMO.

I think the Patriots, Giants, Jets, and one other team I'm forgetting could be the biggest suitors for Dansby. This isn't including the Cardinals themselves of course, who have the advantage right now.

Raiders, barring some last minute change of heart, are going to franchise Nnamdi

Everyone seems to have this idea of trading down in the draft. Has there been any talk on which teams might want to trade up? Id like to trade down also but i haven't heard anything solid as of where that would be or who with.

I'm not sure on the franchise tag, but the shimmy one Lechler is that he doesn't want to play for Oakland having been punched in the face by one of his DTs. I think we should actively pursue him along with Shane Mathews from The Bengals if he can be had.

According to SmootSmack, Asomugha is almost certainly getting franchised again by Oakland. I heard a rumor a few weeks ago that it may be Lechler getting the tag, but I guess not. If that's the case, I say make a big push for him.

And, um... Shane Matthews? Did you have a brain fart and mean to say Stacy Andrews? I'm pretty sure we already tried the Shane Matthews experiment. :)

Three: He can play other positions.

Four: We will not wonder who's going to be our Center for the next few years.

Six: If we pick him up later in the draft we'll not have to pay him as much as a 13th pick.

Seven: If he does become a solid center other teams will want to trade picks for him not vice versa.

Downside

One: He might be a washout. I don't think so, but maybe.

Two: It might take him a year or two to get some playing time.

Both those guys are good FAs. Andrews will probably be kept from what I hear but Carey could slide our way. Seeing how RT is a gaping hole I can't see how they can draft an OT, throw him in there right away, and expect him to have success. If they do anything at RT it's going to be in FA. A FA will be able to start right away and not have to work his way up to an NFL caliber starter.
We'll have to wait until the combine to see who's the best OT. I think that Jason Smith has the most upside and Andre Smith gets beat too often. They all might be gone by the time we get on the clock. We could reach for Eben Britton but that's just too good of a pick for a 2nd round guy. They're just going up and down too much right now for me to say that's my guy.
If we don't trade down then I'd say Everrett Brown, Peria Jerry, or BJ Raji if they're still available.

I've fallen to the OL bandwagon, I mean it was always my first choice, but it's grown more clearly. If our CB and LB core is there and mostly healthy for the season (hell we've done this well with mcintosh and washington hurt, springs too) then really our defense has done its job. Our defense has been our strength for awhile.

It's time to step up on the other side of the ball.. we have offensive weapons and it's time to give them the opportunity to have some protection.

Who? I don't know.. you could go all out on a Jordan Gross, or you could draft a guy and pay him less and hope he's the next Jordan Gross.. or at least a damn solid guy.

Right now I'm leaning towards draft and definitely don't watch enough college ball to pick.
