No problemo. Just one of my guilty pleasures, watching a lot of movies. Saw the latest Jackie Chan flick, Love Hurts. Your typical Chan movie but still enjoyable. Gets a 7.5/10. Correction. It’s not a Jackie Chan movie but it’s Jackie Chan like. The actor is actually Ke Huy Quan. He really looks like Chan. |

It seems like every movie he pulls off the tough guy role even more. It definitely had a Taken feel but overall a great movie and worth a see. Tons of action and great fight scenes. Check it out.

I like the sequel more too. But that's just because it's fucking awesome. Doesn't take anything away from the original. Maverick actually bumped my long time favorite movie of all times (Snatch) down to No. 2. |
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Brings up an interesting question, if you could only watch 5 movies the rest of your life, what would they be?
Top Gun: Maverick and Snatch would be in there for sure. I'd have to ponder the other 3. Although Ace Ventura or Dumb & Dumber would make that list too. Definitely need something I can watch if I need a guaranteed laugh. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I love older movies and actually watched Grumpy Old Men recently. Pretty heartfelt and funny. I can see why it got a lot of fanfare at the time. The dynamic between Lemmon and Matthau was entertaining.
|
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
My older movie binge continues. I watched Armaggedon recently. Cast was really good with Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Ben Affleck and more. Movie was a bit far fetched but still enjoyable. A lot of action but heartfelt. Not a bad way to spend 2 1/2 hours.

I took my daughter to see A Minecraft Movie. I promise it was her idea. Not bad really but definitely more for the kiddos. Jack Black was highly entertaining in this. Kids were going crazy in the theater to this one.
