Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Let's get away from the season a little bit and then let's gather some information as to what the rest of the league is looking like, who's being hired, who's being fired. ... It's hard to make decisions now because there are so many dominoes to fall between now and then to influence it."- Kirk Cousins
Kirk is good as gone. You don't say shit like this if you really want to be here. Why would anything else in the league (especially coaching changes) have to do with a single fucking thing on your contract negotiation if you REALLY wanted to be here. You guys keep ignoring the flags and the subtle things he says. The majority of the time when he was asked if he wanted to be here, his response was "I want to be where I'm wanted". That in itself says a lot. It wasn't a "Yes, but I also want to be compensated as such", it was a non-answer that was a yes or no answer. He wasn't going to ever say anything other than "yes" at that fan event thing because I'm sure he does respect the fans and appreciates it. I think too much has gone on between Dan, Bruce and Kirk for the relationship to continue on. That article I posted a couple months back about what his father said was telling too, even though many of you called it a "nothingburger." Fact is, his dad said that he wasn't going to sign ANY contract for ANY amount when they tagged him. That right there tells you it's not about being compensated or guaranteed money. So if they came to him with a 85 million guaranteed money he would have still rejected it? Then that says he doesn't want to be here regardless. Even asked Smootsmack earlier today if he thought Cousins was going to be here. "No reason for him to stay" was the answer. I'm going all in that we're looking for another QB come off-season. (unless the Skins tag him again) |

That was funny. Here's the thing... Kirk Cousins has no intentions of staying with the Redskins. The team needs to get what they can out of this and move on. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Well if we want Alex Smith (I hope not) but if we do then we'll have to trade for him, apparently they aren't just letting him walk.

I agree with you and have said the same thing, Kirk is a nice guy that doesn't want to upset people, of course he's gonna say all the right things in front of fans lol. He's not coming back and he knows it. It sucks for us fans but we all need to start realizing a new QB will be here next season, probably a rookie starter. Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
They should have asked Kirk about Bruce Allen to see how he really feels.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
The rest of that team is ready to win now, it's easy to see why Denver wants him. Elway doesn't wanna wait another 2-3 years for Lynch to grow. Unfortunately we're not in the same position, even if we bring Kirk back there's still plenty of room for improvement elsewhere, which is why this is a dilemma in the first place. I agree with everyone else, no way we want Kirk at 30 mil per, and I'm not sure I see him settling for less. He walks.
It seems the players on Denver want him there too: Who'll make Kirk Cousins the highest-paid player ever? - NFL.com |

Jacksonville would be his best bet. League's best defense. A stud at RB. Decent WRs. Decent OL. He'd be a fucking fool not to go. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Here is another thing that Snyder fucked up big time with this whole fiasco. He ultimately has fucked his stadium deal too. Ain't nobody going to pay big dollar for seat licenses and tickets for a shit or mediocre team, and one without a franchise QB. Not happening.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Jacksonville isn't going to pay Cousins north of 25 million. Ain't happening. Bortles has been pretty solid. They're already in the 2nd round w/out him.
What I got from that the thing w/ 106.7 is he wants free agency. He wants to test the market obviously. He wasn't beating on the table saying he wanted to be a Redskin and wanted to retire here. |

Jacksonville has plenty of salary cap room(19 million more if they cut Bortles). Of course they'd pay him. |

Jags would be fools not to go after Kirk

Local news today claimed Gruden said something that pretty much means Kirk is gone. Of course that was at 6 pm and they said they would have the story on their 11 pm edition, could be useless crap to bait people to watch. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
A lot of bad QB play this weekend. We have a top 10 QB and we don’t want to sign him.

Went to family dinner tonight and this was brought up. Qb play is lacking across the league...Cousins plays trails only Brees this weekend. Give him a real running game and we could be in the playoffs next year. We must sign cousins and we must draft a RB and add an interior Olineman. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Yeah as really think that Cousins will bolt if the dumb owner does not pay him up. And would not blame him. Yeah as really it depends on if they pay him. Need to get a great RB.
