Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Have you ever had something new show up, get designed, or whatever and everyone is talking about it to the point you are just sick of it. So sick of it your at the point you .... just don't want it? Thats where I'm at with RGIII now. I know he will be good and I'll be happy if the team gets him ... I guess. But I'm so tired of hearing how he's "the it". he's the knight in shinning armor. He's gunna make us winners. He has no flaws. He's the BEST. :vomit:
Please let us know who is saying that. |

I think we should just trade for Griffin now, cause I'm starting to feel like Manning won't go to either us, cleveland, or miami from what I'm hearing. Denver and Arizona are picking up some steam though |
You are on Redskins board in a thread that is specifically talking about our QB of the future, what else would you want folks to talk about on here? Care Bears?
I have always had a soft spot for cheer bear:
Care Bears are the new wave of the future. They were Hello Kitty before that smug cat came in and stole everything. |
Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
It's REALLY is amazing to have the same article multiple times in the same thread.

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Hmmm, I'll agree with this IF they want to throw the draft for one player RGIII. If they don't then I see the Skins as being one of the better places for PM. We have the best defense of all the teams needing his services and we know defense wins championships. A tweek to our OL and WR weapons brought in with a decent QB and I can see this offense scoring even 1 more TD per game which would if not win the game have tied them giving the Skins a chance to win. and.... this team has the money and space to bring in the players he would like to surround himself with if he'd like.
and thats why I see the Skins being a positive for him. I don't see Miami coming out next year going to the playoffs, nor do I see Arizona with their one good WR.
regarding your first comment, what standards could you possibly be going by? According to NFL.com, if you go by total defense, the Redskins ranked 13th. Three of the top 5 defenses from 2011 (Houston, New York Jets, and San Francisco) have been rumored to be interested in Manning. Seattle and Kansas City, 9th and 11th, are also rumored to be interested. The lowest ranked defensive team rumored to be interested in Manning is Denver at 20. Really, when you rank the teams rumored to be interested, we are one of the WORST from 2011. Regarding your last, how on earth do you see the skins as more likely to go to the playoffs than either Miami or Arizona? Both teams have far more talent than we do. I'm not saying it wont work out that way, but you completely dismiss better teams. I think you are looking at this too much from a redskins fan perspective and not a realistic one. |

why? nothing new has happened since this one was created and probably wont until monday or Tuesday... unless Smoot has some news he's been keeping to himself.... |
Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
^ speaking of smoot having news to himself...
what was up with us trading orakpo? Who were we supposedly going to trade him to? And is that still a major possibility? |

NOT a RGIII thread. #2- I respect the fact people will talk about their preferences. All I'm saying is I'm just sooo sick of the RGIII fans all over his jock. It's a slobber fest that is making me sick. I could imagine someone finding out what type, brand, color of underwear he wears and everyone would be saying how they went out and already have his brand. Cause you know .... RGIII's brand is the most confortable and makes you work better and faster. ... thats all. |

Their not. But do you understand when something starts irritating you enough that your just tired of it? reading the posts from some people here would lead you to believe he's our savior. When flaws are brought up there is no discussion it's simply over looked and not discussed so we don't have to think about them. Ok it's probably just me. At this point I'm almost hoping we get him to so the jock fest can stop. I just hope he doesn't severely let the fans down by not living up to their expectations. |

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)
Hey guys. REALLY long time lurker, and first time poster. I kinda feel like I know some of you guys, even though I haven't been a member until now. I've been a Redskins fan since 1982, after watching my first NFL game, during my first season playing Pee-Wee football.
Like many of us long time fans, we remember the glory days, and feel the pain of a decade+ of ridiculous front office moves, revolving coaches, and overpaying for free agents just short of retirement. Every year, I clean the slate clean and have hope. I tell myself "This is the year we turn this around", without any logic behind it. Just blind faith. I'm feeling different this year. I'm feeling hopeful based on some logic. We have competent front office staff and coaches that just need more time to finishing cleaning house after the years Danny and Vinny destroying this team. This year, we have a chance to go get our franchise quaterback. This year, we have plent of cap room to go out and get the free agents we need to bring this team back to a powerhouse. This is the year of real hope for this team. Go get RG3. Go get a solid free agent WR like VJax or Bowe. Resign London. His character in the locker room alone is worth what he is asking. Just get it done, because this could be a real season of hope become reality, and the fans deserve it. OK, exiting my soapbox now. LOL Happy to be joining this great community. |
